What kind of wash did you use on the suit beforehand? I have a spare that I’m fixing to fiddle with

You mean when I took out the rubber suit?

If it's that then it's because I pulled the suit very slowly , But honestly I didn't really care about the rah body

To try not spamming to much here are some pics testing the suit on a coomodel body

I initially have a ganghood muscular body in mind but it was to much for the suit so I changed to a narrow shoulder body

Hope I can get my custom sculpt by the end of the month meanwhile here it's a pic with guts sculpt

Parts printed, painted, a few more things to be touched up.
I ended up repainting the Snake sculpt I had because the prior paint app was spotty. Holster was a pain in the ass but I got the placement just where I want it!

Hey y'all, I'm a member from a few years ago. Haven't been active. Been so busy with life but getting back to customizing and posting. Im planning this month coming to spend a bunch of my time taking photos of all my MGS stuff and work on taking better photos.

I have a bunch of older and rare customs that I've re-modified. Im a younger collector so I've been tracking down and paying pretty high prices on these customs that were floating around and repainting them on my free time. And some stuff like my mgs4 Solid is just my own formula i came up with. Just want to share my love of this stuff with y'all. Will post some more here in March!

Great eye! Yep I had the RAH old snake, tore that suit up with an x-acto and then grabbed a dark knight body to glue, apoxy, and repaint the two figure suits together. Then i had that custom head, painted it up and threw a magnet inside, weathered the whole thing with sand and wallah my completed old snake!

It's honestly one of the figures I'm most proud of because i think it came together so completely.

The RAH unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired and the range of motion makes me sad.

Also, I had gotten the inspiration from a few customizers who had made a special undersuit for making a custom old snake with the rah body years ago, and took a few ideas from them but the batman base works very well for what the purpose is. They had made a mesh type suit and it looked really cool. Unfortunately though when i reached out about it none of them had any guidance to give and no one was making the suits still. I heavily reccomend trying the dark knight body if you can't find a good substitute.

The new(ish) Gray Fox - Final Battle version is up for P/O at all the usual. I own the original release, but I'm a sucker for MGS1 merch and Gecco.

Crazy to see the variations on prices for this though. Since the yen is so low, AmiAmi has the best deal for this at a little over $250 USD, granted the shipping will be on the higher side. Most domestic retailers however and even Gecco Direct has this around $350, but BBTS is wanting a ridiculous $450... wtf are they smoking?!

That one looks very nice. I don't have too many MGS figures / statues. But out of the ones I have, their first Gray Fox is still my favorite piece.

Solid snake sculpts are few and far between, but you can find a few out there. Some of franks and Sean’s float around aswell as on some collectors groups on FB. Check eBay aswell there’s a couple 3D prints that are decent.

Hi everyone, just wanted to share what I was doing yesterday. Decided to repaint the head of the medicom old snake. I believed the sculpt was there it just needs some paint. the writings on the solid eye were replaced with some random gundam waterslide decals since I repainted everything. Anyway I still need to clean up and retouch the hair though.

Im also thinking about repainting the suit too, if I can make it into a desert ver. Or just update the paint app for accuracy purposes.

Raiden too if I can find one

Hey there, for those who still don't know or were on the fence
Solid Snake will be leaving the battlepass on the 7th (the 8th early in the morning in some areas)
So if you want him in fortnite, go grab the pass, shouldn't take long to get him and old snake if you rush it in team rumble, have a good one folks!

Oh nice, looks very goodhopefully it fits the body well.
Yeah dude, I really thought play arts we're gonna make them back then but looks were stuck with the medicom ones.

I still need to fix the hole in the suit of my snake since I bought it as a junk before repainting it.

The Medicom ver. it's still a good base And even without mods the figure looks pretty decent

ALso I don't think we will gonna see a 1/6 old snake ever again
