Yeah, he does the best MGS retrospectuves. Very insightful. You should check out his other MGS vids.

And yes I could safely say I'm the biggest defender of MGS2 on SSF. It's my favorite game ever. :lol

Incidentally, it features my favourite itration of Snake too.

I am, the guy is a genious :drool his MGS1 critical close up is fantastic, MGS2 is great but I must say, in my opinion... MGS3 is the pinnacle of the franchise :love

Yeah, I love smart stories. That game was soo deep I gameplay and story wise, which is why replayed it like a 100 times.
The music, graphics and art design everything was top notch. I didn't like Raiden at first bt by the end of the game he's a badass. I thought his skull suit was cool too.

I wonder how long before we say anything from IDMs snake??

I disagree its MGS1 that was the pinnacle after that it was never the same .

I'll agree MGS1 overall is the best of the franchise, and even though Raiden sucked major *** I think the story (no matter how over the top and mistranslated) was still a good step in the right direction. When you look at MGS4's story and where it went with MGS2's ending I think it completely missed the mark of what was built up.

:exactly: it was going into one direction and they never followed though with it.

I was thinking from MGS2 adn the games that came after, MGS1 is still the best of course, because of Liquid, but MGS3 is still the pinnacle of the franchise IMHO

Eh I don't know about that. It "plays" the best of all the games, but I didn't like how simple the story was compared to the previous games. It's still a masterpiece regardless of that.

We went from bad *** Snake thinking about the future, to frail Old Snake waiting to die... ughh it was painful seeing Snake like that.

I remember when it first hit eBay and it was like $100 and I thought it was ridiculous. Are you planning on flipping yours?

Hell no!

probably OMW to do something great, again.

Yea it was the newer games never captured the magic the first one had.
It's a shame they could have did so much better then the direction they chose.

If Kojima kept the series with Snake as the main protagonist the entire time, I think the story wouldn't be in the shambles it's in with the plot holes and continuity errors out the yin yang.

yea thats true Kojima has been trying to walk away for yrs. i dunno if its his fault or konami’s.

Little plot holes have been there since MGS1 they are part of the franchise now, and Big Boss is kind of a big deal :lol

retroactive continuity is unavoidable with such a complex a messy story, not a big deal imho

Yeah, while I liked MGS4, it completely ruined the franchises story and SolidSnake and even BigBoss with it. It can never continue past that and Snake barley spoke in it :(

On MGS3, I felt it lost some of the magic of the first 2. And it wasn't as fun to me, I can't put my finger on why. And I hated the bosses - no character at all and way too cheesy.

Crypt, you won't be able to get the exact same figure unless someone buys the Premium edition just to sell the pieces, that would be the worst thing any human could ever do :lol but the "regular" version of the figure will be easy to get

Guess I'll be importing it then. Doubt ami-ami will be offering it, so probably have to do one those Japanese shipping sites or buy it for double on ebay.

Imo the bosses were better in MGS3 then MGS2 and 4 they were a joke.

I think it's been Konami since it's their only cash cow anymore.

Yeah but making Big Boss the good guy and Snake the bad guy the whole time is the biggest blatant slap to fans in the franchise's history.

I didn't like that Snake just wanted to die, and was all friggin morbid the whole time. MGS4 was fun for the game itself (how little it was for the cutscenes) but it wasn't a fulfilling experience for an ending.

They were memorable unlike MGS4 honestly I couldn't even tell you there names.

I can name them all, but they were the most hollow "villains" in the entire series. It's funny that the further the games went along, the less interaction there was with them during their death scenes. In MGS1, you almost felt bad for every one of them. Of course Sniper Wolf's trumps them all.
