Nice pictures guys! PAK Raiden looks awesome. Mine should be here.. in hopefully a week. I want that Chibi Raiden.. lol.

Awesome Solid Snake CrAzEBoNEsz, I can't wait to see the Anmur sculpt on that body. :hi5:

Quick queries for you guys! I recently decided to open my MGS PAK figures, one of which is Grey Fox. I popped off his head to swap in the unmasked one, but the peg came out with it. Is there any way I can safely get the peg out of the head?!

Also, how do I remove Solidus' chest plate? It seems to be stuck on pretty tight!

You could try heating it, then wrapping a piece of cloth around it and grabbing it with a tool and pulling it out. If the head is heated it should come out easily. I don't know how other people do it, but that's worked for in the past in similar situations. As you don't want to do to just try to pry it out as you could damage the peg.

Quick one of Raiden

Soz for the quality

Nice job with replicating the look from Shinkawa's art! You actually found a good pose for that figure! :lol

It doesn't look bad from a side-view.

Thanks man :hi5:

And kudos for noticing it's an artwork pose. It the only pose i decided i was going to use with the regular head from the start.

I try and keep as many of the poses i use for the figures that of Shinkawa's artwork, Solid, Meryl, Grey Fox and Raiden all are poses from his artwork.

The only ones that aren't are Solidus, MGR Raiden and Red Grey Fox, and for them i used the 3D model artwork or in game poses for those cuz they fit in better with the collection.

One thing I'd like to know is how are people display them all? what with the height differences within each title. Luckily/unluckily for me i think the only figure that will look too big is Liquid when he gets here.

I have it set up ready for a les enfants terrible shelf, MGS1 shelf (both Ninjas and Meyrl) and Raiden shelf (MGS2/MGR)

That was a gorgeous pose, Frank. Love to see when you get them all set up.

I myself am a bit OCD when it comes to scale, I just hate it when people come over to my place and think BB is smaller than Solid Snake because his Medicom and PAK figures are way smaller than the PAK and Yamato Snake, so I tend to do some mods to make them taller and bigger. The Medicom MGS3 Snake legs could be pulled out around the calf to make him taller (just discovered this recently) and I also angle my shelves just slightly to make guys like the Medi Raiden look shorter. I'm crazy, I know. :lol

Thanks Ryan :duff btw nice setup. I like the look of a lineup of characters all roughly the same height and same stance, looks uniform

Your not crazy at all, i've struggled with height differences on my shelves too and not even because of wrong heights of figures. I've had to move my collection around so many times because i wasn't happy with the height set up on the shelves. I have detolfs and i keep it to 3 PAK per shelf - 2 HT if possible but i'm running outta space.

I'm unhappy with they way 1 shelf is now really but it's the best i can get it. Meryl is on one shelf with both Cyborg ninja's either side. Obviously she looks really small and it deosnt help shes in the middle but there's literally nowhere else to put her. I'm hoping they do more female characters so i can put those together and be at peace finally.

Nothing i'm gonna be able to do about liquid though unless i can bend his legs in a way that doesn't look like they are bent just to lower his height. Otherwise he's gonna be way bigger than both Solid and Solidus

Hmm, I guess you could have Liquid's feet wider apart, that will surely make him in scale with Solid Snake. I too love the museum, uniformed pose so that's what I go for, plus I'd rather not pose those Phicen bodies.

As for space, creative use of wall mounted shelves are the only way to go. I painted those shelves black and drilled the walls, pretty easy DIY. And I get a large mirror on the wall to balance out the figures and give the illusion of space. Problem solved. :lol

Have we seen your detolfs Frank? I don't think you've posted your MGS collection before..

Do you have the newest phicen bodies? PM me your thoughts on them, got a current running project with those as a possibility

I'm not too bad for space at the moment. I got 4 detolfs and the option for more and wall shelves if needs be. I'm sectioned to my 'games room' for my displays though. I prefer having them all in there as apposed to all around the house, just my personal preference. There are some of my MGS shelves in here though. Last one i posted Was my Solid Snake with the 2 Grey Foxs before i moved them around in anticipation of Liquid and Raiden

I've posted pics dotted around here and there of my shelves. Not a comprehensive file of them all but i was waiting until i got Liquid in to take photos of my MGS displayed collection as it'll be as complete as it can be at the moment and i think it'll stay in the order I've got them in for awhile. Unless they show protos of some new characters in which case it might be another switcheroo

Yeah, I tugged gently last night and it wouldn't budge! I'll try the hot water solution later (I also need to to straighten out Snake's SOCOM suppressor). Thanks gents!

Did anyone have difficulty with Solidus' chest plate? Again, I'm afraid it going snap on me.

Frank, that Raiden pose is amazing. I may do something similar with him!

Ryan, the lighting in that pic of the sixth scale figures is so good.

Put it in some hot water and pull the neck peg out gently but with applied pressure with some thin nosed pliers and it should come out pretty easily.

I had a little bit of trouble with the chest plate on Solidus but not much. I used the hairdryer and it came out easily.

What i did have mega trouble with was getting doc ock arms to twist where they joined the chest bit. I tried water, the hairdryer, steam.... everything. I was considering sending it back until i tried it one last time in hot water and it literally snapped loose. I genuinely thought I'd snapped the arm off but it loosened the joint.

Really tight joints are better being submerged in hot water instead of heating up with the hairdryer, in my experience anyway
