Medicom really suck!

No but seriously. I heard this was a common problem and was hoping for a little help. Is this repairable at all or will I need a new body? If yes can the head be removed and how so I can't seem to do it.

I'm not so pissed off (like a breakage of a HT) because I bought this second hand and payed a decent price (still a lot considering and should have come with a breakage). I've had it for a while but the arm seemed loose when I bought it. I thought that might have just been Medicom my first (and only) figure. Only now I was adventurous with the articulation and it did not pay off. I guess it may have been weak when I received it. I have broke no other figure before and I wasn't rough with it at all.

Closer inspection shows that there are cracks on the other arm and leg. It's a shame because naked I can get some awesome poses.

I had the same problem with my Zombie Snake, but with the leg. I would have had to get a different body to fix him...I just super glued him the best I could and sold him as a damaged fig.

Re: Medicom, I only have the Medicom RAH 'The Dark Knight' Batman, and I haven't encountered problems with the body so far.. Although I have to tell you that everytime I pose the arms, they seem brittle, and could break without careful handling.

That's probably why a lot of 1:6 enthusiasts switch out their Medicom bodies with Hot Toys bodies, except that the heads might seem a little off-scale as Medicom is known to be smaller than Hot Toys and the other manufacturers.

I also assume they have a series licence, but untill we see them get the MGS3 snake and The Boss out the way, we have no idea what there gonna do next.

what i hope is they do at least the main characters from the whole series.

MGS1 Snake, Ninja and Liquid (maybe mantis)
MGS2 Snake and Raiden (maybe Solidus)
MGS3 we already know of Naked Snake(Sneakingsuit) and the Boss

im not 100% sure on MGS4 since Medicom already made those

Haha yeah Medicom is gonna be way inferior when the Hot Toys version comes out.

The medicom sculpt looks like the one used in the comic cut scenes in MGS peace walker. I'm glad I held off buying one. It's still pretty cool though the only thing I would keep is the clothes lol.

Not sure, but you better try to get rid of it now before Hot Toys releases their figures. I'm going to guess that the prices might drop a bit now that people have an option to Medicom.

Even though I'm looking forward to the Hot Toys figures being released I'd never part with my Medicom Big Boss. I doubt that Hot Toys will do something as awesome as a Zombie Face Paint Version Big Boss...at least that goes for part 3, Snake Eater.
As for the other games...I really hope we'll see some Hot Toys figures of MGS 1/2/4 characters.

^^Zombie Face Big Boss is my favorite of the Medicom releases. I always wanted one, but could never justify the $$ for it.

I found myself in pretty much the same situation... I always wanted one, but the prices on ebay were too high + shipping to Germany was ridiculously high. But last month I just couldn't resist the temptation and ordered one from bigbadtoystore. 135 US Dollars...
I'm glad I ordered this figure since it's my favorite MGS collectible now, apart from the Yoji Shinkawa Artbooks.
However I don't like the other versions Medicom released. I just think the paintjob on the face is a little bit off.

I'm a huge MGS fan, MGS3 included, but I could just never bring myself to buy one of the medicom figures, maybe if the headsculpt was better but they just don't look good at all imo.

Recently got the Play Arts Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Big Boss Jungle version and like the Sneaking Suit version before it, it's a great figure with a lot of articulation. The Metal Gear Solid figures are my first foray into Play Arts figures, and I'm looking forward to buying more from them. I know Hot Toys will be producing a line from Metal Gear and can't wait for more MSG figures.

Took the the Berserker Predator and Big Boss with me up the mountain and took some pics.
