That's great! Have you settled on a head-sculpt yet, and are you planning to weather the leggings?

Thanks! I am, I actually bought a different, more see through stockings. As for the head sculpt I have a few ideas.

Heres a crap picture of what I think is a successful project. I got a shadow box for my Old Snake custom and a decal courtesy of EvilFace. I am going to do the same for HT MGS3 figures and the custom MGS liquid and Snake Frank hooked us up with. What do you guys think?

Elvis, could you help me with identifying some of the parts you used? I'm mainly interested in the harnesses and ammo pouch vest. I'm gathering to the pieces to kitbash this guy and would love some info.

Yes no worries.
For the SPIE harness I had to make it since the metal boss one are now impossible to find. I bought two parachute harness and cobbled that one together.

Once on the body it needs to look like this, except that the part with the carabiner needs to be down since it will make his "demon" tail.

For the vest here is the base I used

TA59 21 C 1 6 Toys City 9010 Navy Seal Jungle Vest | eBay

I used black fabric paint since dye doesn't work on synthetic material. I removed the diagonal pouches (I glued the pouch to the magazines directly and then glue them back on the vest vertically)

I love it dylan! You need to fashion a tie clip, i cut up a pen clip and folded it in a way that it grabbed the shirt and tie, kinda like a sharp z.

Are you making the jacket or are you getting one? I saw a project for the jacket on one of the Facebook groups. Really wish i had more access to a sewing machine, id love to make some stuff. After this Venom Snake, ill be making Ishmael and Ahab from the hospital scene.

I can use a sewing machine to retouche some clothing and make simple things but making a leather jacket from scratch is out of my league. So I asked Geewhiz to make that one for me. There was just nothing existing that came close to the one he had.

I agree, the tough part with that jacket is all the "quilting" on the shoulders and arms, sewing all that detail at 1/6 scale looks really hard. Im excited to see the final product :)

Jacket is amazing work! Wish I could afford to get more of Gee Whiz's work.

Sounds awesome. Do keep us updated, I'll probably try my hands on Quiet... someday.

I really do regret not jumping on that Amnur sculpt. That Old Snake custom came out fantastic.

Will do! I pretty much had everything already.

Thanks man. I have spent a lot of time and money trying to find the right suit and parts. I even used my military training to iron the suit he has and I think I'm finally happy with it. I still need a tie clasp like CQC said and I wish there was a way to do his wrists so they didn't show so much joints and lines but oh well. It's nice to finally have a decent collectible from one of my favorite games of all time.

one thing i noticed but didnt mention is that you need to pull the white shirt out from his suit jacket sleeves, that should hide his wrists a bit. if i remember correctly theyre like that anyway in the game.

Maybe, you might have to get a baggier one i guess. Itll give you some more length possibly. Here are my other mgs4 customs if anyone feels like peeking.

Maybe it's the under shirt I'm using but it will only stay like that if his arms are straight.

if you only plan to have him wear the suit all the time, you can actually use the technique used by some folks here by cutting the sleeves off around the forearm and move it down abit and glue it onto the forearm, this will ensure the sleeves is always out. Bent or straight arms.
