I'm not a fan of "statue figures," I prefer articulation, hopefully NECA's Krueger figures will have some. I'm not concerned about the quality of the face sculpts.

Since Mezco still has Halloween I'm also looking for a stylized Michael Myers to go with the Freddy I pre-ordered!

It is a shame that Mezco lost the license, because they pleased the fans. They were the only toy company to have a jason and freddy in every series, which is awesome. i love neca's detail, but i love mezco's sytle.

Neca pros and cons:

pros:

great detail
movie accurate
creative

cons:

bad costumer service
no articulation in figures
no come out with anything

Mezco pros and cons:

pros:

listen to the fans
good costumer service
makes a lot of figures no other company would make

cons:

series 1 was a little too cartoony
not always the best detail (part 6 jason)

I hope Neca makes a figures from the original nightmare on elm street and friday the 13th 3 and 4, I like the mezco ones but i'd also like to some that are more realistic.

So does this mean the tri-pack with Freddy, Jason and Leatherface is cancelled?! I got the ToyFair Ex, but that'd suck if we don't see the other guys in 3 3/4." :(

Well this just sucks.... Atleast Mezco was giving us a nice variety of Jasons and w/ the potential of adding some good survivors/victims in the line. I thought for sure we'd get a nice Tommy Jarvis fig.

Neca is cool, but kept only making part 7 jasons w/ exception of the VS/Mom & J.2 combo.
I want a ROY and Part 8 Jason today!!!

ANd whoever said it's hard to hold onto this license is correct... man. McFarlane, Sideshow, Neca, Mezco, now Neca again.

C'mon NECA is fantastic! We got that great Exorcist Box se....oh wait we're still waiting for that. Well there the Machete figure and....oh, wait thats not out yet either. Well I'll always have Zombie Ed from Shaun of the Dead.....no wait, that never came out. Well I'm off to cry myself to sleep with my plush talking Capt. Spaulding from House of 1000 Corpsese.......DAMNIT they never released that either!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

It all depends how you like your Horror figs

cartoony and out of proprotion

or nicely detailed and accurate

I am quite happy Mezco lost the license! Though I like some of their items, it's been a lame few years not being able to own accurate 6"/7" horror figures. I do like the F13th 3 Jason though. That's how it should've been all along with their figures.

Mezco practically works in a novelty/carnival style. I was so bummed when they originally got the Warriors license years ago and put out those awful, exaggerated figures. That was painful!

In general, what did Mezco give us during that time they held the license captive? A bunch of exaggerated (oh, sorry, stylized) plush dolls and figures for the most part.

Thank heavens NECA has the New Line license back! I hope they kick our Ashtakoshers through the roof with new figures!

Yeah I agree ht might be expensive but you get what you pay for. Hence mezco's figures being lackluster for the most part. Their 12" Jason and Freddy look good. Out of all their figs I've only been tempted to buy 2. Leatherface (remake) and The Dream Master figure of the chick with roach arms. Very original figure. Neca is WAY better and hope they dig us out of this lame horror figure thing that's been going on.

If HT ever gets the 12'' new line horror licence, I would officially buy back 1/6 figures.

I like my horror figures with variety... and articulation. NECA just remade what McFarlane had already made. Then did again in 12" scale... then the same sculpt again in 18" scale... Hopefully they'll try and do something different this time.

EXACTLY!

I have enjoyed Mezco's variety atleast. There's no questioning NECA's quality of products, look at their part 7. They have the 18" pt. 7, then a 15" statue pt. 7, a 7" version and it's all the same pose & sculpt. Same w/ their VS Jason.

Why didnt they ever release any of those? I have had my Exorcist Boxed set on pre-order for over two months and still nothing, they didnt even have it displayed at Comic Con so I think that one will be doomed too!
