Yeah I was all about the Mezco but my interest is definitely not the same after all these delays. Shipping and the figures themselves. I think I'm mostly out of this hobby. Mezco was the last death rattle for my collecting I think. I'm pretty satisfied with just looking at pictures these days.Jeezus mine has already reached Ireland, just got my customs letter.
Naturally the fastest shipping & arrival ever for something I don't want anymore.
I'm going to repaint mine. I'll post a process here. For the old fokes, I had the Billikin Predator figure from the 80s which was fantastic. Spent hours looking for reference in Fangoria and pausing the VHS tape to figure out the pattern. Come full circle.I had high hopes for this figure. Which is why I got three lol yes sound dumb now, the lack off black really holds this figure back for me. I will keep them. Probably see if i can get 2 of them repainted by someone. The remove-able mandibles is an eye sore especially on the closed mandibles. The colors barely match and the are not flush as the open mandibles. Articulation is weak in terms of posing. Some regret but I still like it.
This "small detail" annoys me the most in this figure. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of preordering it. I probably won't even open it, I'll put it up for sale in a while. The remove-able mandibles is an eye sore especially on the closed mandibles. It's a bad looking figure. The proportions are terrible. The whole posture is wrong. The head is too tall and probably too wide aswell - look at those frontal pics, the head could fill his whole torso top to bottom. The shoulder cannon mount looks wrong. The mandibles look AVP inspired more than P1. The inaccurate paintjob.
Just nah. Definitely gotta get in touch with BBTS to see if they'll take mine back.
It doesn't bode well for this.Sorry for the longtime Pred heads that ordered this and aren't happy with it. I was hoping to see this turn out like a miniature MMS90. It's not often that Mezco drops the ball on their production figures.
I think that's what they failed to recognize on the 1/12. I expect them to make a 1/12 City Hunter to get reuse out of the new body mold, hopefully, it turns out better. They did a great job with their Conan statue, though.
Having that said, Predators are harder to paint. Maybe they'll have to charge a little more to get a satisfactory finish.

Sorry to crap on something you're looking forward to Zurdo. I've said my piece and I'll leave it alone now.
