That's understandable. I have the 1:6 Classic with Dave's custom kit, the Prime 1 and the NECAs "Ultimate". Was planning to replace the NECA with this, but at this scale I wasn't planning to do any work on it. Definitely not wanting to repaint to get it to look right so it was an easy cancel click for me.I think it's workable. I don't have any 1:6 anymore and I'm not a fan of NECAs stuff so having a base that I can tweak, is fine for me. Just wish Mezco would send it. All of these have been crappy photos anyway. Would rather judge it in hand. It's paid for so my decision has been determined already.
Would have been a cancel for me aswell if BBTS hadn't been the first to get something for once
That they even unwittingly (I assume) used an another company's toy as their box image
Wanted to clarify this....so poster actually came out later and said he was mistaken (idk how lol). But it's actually smaller and not taller than the NECA Jungle Hunter, as it supposed to beFound these on FB, poster says it is a little taller than the NECA Jungle Hunter.
I'm going to take this as a forewarning of sorts about the 'Big Chap' Alien and cancel that one. The proto shots only look good due to the cinematic lighting and movie scenes - pretty sure none of that comes with the figure which, in ''isolation'', has always looked a bit crap.Canceled this 3 months ago. Promo pics felt off for me as well. Neca is the only one who gets the shoulder gun right. Something of about the legs as well. For the money is should be a huge upgrade compared to Neca. Not a bit of a upgrade.

I just saw they're using the Hot Toys Predator on the box
That pic was used on the Blu ray release Predator: Ultimate Hunter Edition Blu Ray
Yeah, it can be tricky depending on the perspective and distance. The comparison photos aren't an exact match, but if you scale the two heads/masks the same... The torso/head ratio looks decent, but if you correct the giraffe neck, the figure's mask grows even bigger proportionally. The torso should be about 1.75 masks tall, the figure seems to be measuring about 1.25, or that's how it all looks to my eyeball.I'm ok with it. Seems like an ok base at the very least. I would have prefer they skipped the light gimic for one more pass on the paint. Never have cared for lights. It looks like they missed the dark layer pass on the body paint.
They head is a little on the big side but not that bad. I think people forget had large that prosthetic was.

How did they get the paint so wrong? I know the quality of NECA's paintapps can be lacking but at least they're in the ballpark in terms of accuracy. How did Mezco completely miss all the dark coloration?I'm ok with it. Seems like an ok base at the very least. I would have prefer they skipped the light gimic for one more pass on the paint. I wonder if they specs this too low on the price point and so with all of the delays they had to make up the difference someplace and removed one of the paint steps. It really looks like they just remove the paint step of the dark layer. All of the other parts are painted almost like underpaint. How did they get the paint so wrong? I think NECA beats this in every department that matters.
