Couldnt find another thread on this figure, so decided to post a new one. I was on the fence about the set for many months, especially after hearing about all the QC issues.

But recently Miracle contacted me and asked if I was interested, particularly after an apparent price drop. The price was $210 (plus about $30 shipping), so I bit.

Overall, I'm happy enough with the figure, but not all of the QC issues were resolved. And it's still an exceedingly frustrating robot to combine into the Voltron mode (and the sub-team modes too!)

I'm uploading a video review going over the whole figure, but here are some pictures first! :)

Thanks for sharing dude, this is a great set for sure! :rock

I had a small plastic version of this Voltron as a kid - & while I also really dig the lion version, I've always kinda preferred the vehicle Voltron, so I'd love to own this particular set.

Thanks for posting on this forum, much easier to follow than on Facebook. We chatted a bit on FB about this figure last night. I'm very happy with the overall look of the figure, and considering I don't overly pose my larger robots I should be pretty happy with it. Now if I could just get it shipped from Toy Freakz. Gonna call them this morning, hopefully they'll have an estimated ship date.

Again, love the pictures.

Thanks guys! Will be writing up a more detailed review on the blog, so will post link here when done. Video review is about 30mins, so is taking forever to upload, but that should give you a very good idea as to what is included and where the frustrating parts are.

Overall, final result in Voltron mode looks great on display, but the execution could've been better in the transformation / combining sequence.

It's almost a love/hate thing with this figure!! LOL!! :)

Hey, and yes definitely check with Toy Freakz. I heard the v2 that has the QC fixes was out a few months ago, so they should've got their stock in by now!

A few of us on the Robot Japan forums are at our limits waiting for ours from them :monkey4

I pre-ordered this thing last Feb/March and its been nothing but excuses and delays. It's been the most poorly handled piece I've ever seen but I've waited for something like this forever so I guess I'm just hoping it gets to me soon. Anything else and I would've cancelled well over a year ago.

Finally the video review of the Miracle Production MA-01 Vehicle Voltron figure is now up on the Kool Kollectibles youtube channel!!

Definitely a nice piece to have and display once combined, but man it was a frustrating process to get there!!! Watch the video, and you'll see where the hard parts are, and how I can swear when things don't go as planned :)

Remember to subscribe, like, comment!! :)

For anyone getting the supposed 2nd release, can you please confirm something for me.

In previous reviews I saw online, all indicated that the wheels used as the feet had a button on the underside that could be pressed to allow the lowering of the panel between the wheels. This panel was then used to stabilise the figure so that it didnt roll away on the wheels.

However, on both of my wheels, this button is not present, so there is no way to lower this panel. I am not sure if this was a conscious design change for the v2, or something that is another QC issue!

Please let me know when you get your figure! Thanks!!

Great review! Thanks for sharing. :clap

Still no word for Toy Freakz. I've called and sent an email with no response. Not sure if I'll buy from them again.

:gah::mad:

It's frustrating. At the time I ordered they were the only ones that I knew of that offered it since it wasn't going to be released "legally" in the US. They were pretty on top of things as far as sending updates about the release, but after June 25th I haven't heard a thing. Very bad costumer service.

The Miracle representative that I spoke to insisted that I buy directly from them. They used to have a direct sales site at www.miracleproduction.com, but after they told me to order there the website just indicates it's under construction.

So I questioned them how I was supposed to order directly if their website didnt even work! So they said they could send me a PayPal invoice directly from their Miracle account, and out of the blue I received an invoice from a Miracle Production sales address before I had even confirmed I wanted to buy it!!

I told them I didnt want it, and started searching on the web for other retailers that offered the v2. I came across Toyer, and after talking to them, they indicated they were the main distributor for Miracle.

I questioned Miracle on why they had not even mentioned Toyer, and they said they preferred direct sales, but if I was more comfortable going with Toyer that was OK. Considering Toyer then had the discounted price, I went with them.

Toyer's service has been very good, especially with the replacement part and all communication.

Good to know for next time. Unfortunately I've already pre-paid for the figure through Toy Freakz (first and last time I pre-pay for anything).

Still NO word at all from them. Going to try calling and emailing again today.

Fingers crossed.
