Is anyone watching this? It just started not too long ago. I'm not usually into sitcoms (the gf is), but this one is one feels a lot like Arrested Development.

I think you can catch episodes of this on Hulu.

I have it on usually as background noise and it is pretty funny. Can't wait to see Shelly Long this week!

Re: The Modern Family

Yes, I've laughed out loud at this show - very funny and quirky. I also like Cougar Town - it's not nearly as offensive as the critics would have you believe, and Cox is a fantastic comedienne.

Re: The Modern Family

I like all the characters, but I find myself laughing the most at the bits featuring the gay couple and their adopted Vietnamese baby. :lol

Re: The Modern Family

i was wondering when a thread was going to be made about this show. i think it's hilarious. ed oneal is funny as hell in this. & it does have a bit of a arrested development feel to it. the first episode had a bit of a shout out to it when the mom says "AW' COME ON !!"...:lol

Re: The Modern Family

I've been TiVo'ing this show and from what I've seen I'm mixed about it. The Gay couple are hilarious as one is the stereotype and the other seems to be going out of his way to break the stereotype but the other parts and components are a bit old already. Ed O' Neill's character was funny at first but seems stale already and the Couple with the two kids where the dad is absolutely clueless has its funny moments but seems to be pushing that line of the same ol' same ol'. I'm interested to see where it goes since all the characters are already exaggerated beyond belief there isn't much room to grow in that aspect...

Re: The Modern Family

The latest episode was hilarious! I'm in it for the long run. Hopefully - like The Mike mentioned - the series won't run out of creative steam, but that would require that the show succeed for long enough without being cancelled. Watch this show!

It better not get cancelled but you never know now do you? they seem to cancell all the good stuff while keeping the crap. :banghead

Re: The Modern Family

Tonight's episode wasn't one of the better ones, but it was still pretty funny.

I gotta say though, Phil (played by Ty Burrell) is my favorite character in this show. He gets the funniest lines, and Burrell is so good.

Re: The Modern Family

This show is going from strength to strength.
The whole Moon landing joke in the locker room, had me laughing so loud, I'm sure the neighbours could hear me.
