I've had this guy for a while. Just finished modifying him. He was a little too skinny in the upper body department. Ultraman was skinny - but not that skinny.

In typical fashion - bulked up his chest, shoulders, shoulder blades, and buttocks.

I have the C-Type, too. He's cool, but his rubber suit restricts his poseability drastically. The latex/spandex suit on this A-Type looks awesome and is pretty flexible.

Took some pics to share:

Cool man! I've been thinking about picking this figure up for awhile. I'm not a huge Ultraman fan, but I love the character and the way it looks.

Looks great. I hope I can also collect Ultraman, but Medi DX Kamen is already killing me...

I mostly collect movie 1/6 and medi Kamen DX....probably you do,too. I am also big Guyver fan, so I am into the new MaxFactory BFC line. Some SIC as well.

My another obsession is collecting 1:1 Star Wars lightsaber

I used to watch Ultraman every Saturday as a kid. Never knew what the heck was going on, but it was cool regardless.

I LOVE the design. Minimal, cookey, cheezy - but awesome in the way that only the Japanese can come up with.

I love Kamen Rider and Godzilla for almost the exact same reasons.

Thanks, guys. They have 2 or three other Ultraman type figures in the line - as well as a few nemesis figures (all awesome).

COST:
This A-type can be had for between 120 and 140. It is the least expensive of all the hero figures in the line. Look on ebay from time to time - you may get lucky and see one for about 120. The other hero figures in the line go for about 150. And of course there are a couple mail-in limited versions that go for 200 to 250.

And the nemesis figures are about 110 to 120.

They're not too difficult to find right now - but I think they will be pretty scarce in the future. People are slowly discovering how cool these are.

I plan to get all of them.

C-Type
I can post pics of the C-Type if you guys want? It's got a rubber suit instead of the spandex/latex.

OH, YEAH! The Kamen 1/6 DX line is the best figure line (IMO). But they're sooo pricey for US collectors.

My gf gets pissed every time she goes to HK because I make her spend a couple days hunting down figures for me. hehe

But that's the only way I can afford to collect them - if I can shave down or eliminate the shipping cost.

Please do, its hard to find good images of some of these Medicom releases... and if you can give any info about cost, quality etc that's helpful too!

lol! i used to watch it (if my faulty memory is correct) every Sunday before Moms dragged me to church. like u i never knew WTH was going on but it was fun.

Never heard of Ultraman or know what he does, but that is a cool looking figure. Has a touch of the rocketeer about him. Would love to see the pics of the type C you mentioned, just to see the difference in the look of the rubber compared to the spandex. That's if you were going to break him out anyway. You take great pic too btw. Though god only knows why you had to bulk out his butt. :lol

Heh' I collect too many things. 1/6 Anime and KR, Some 1/6 Movie, Resin and PVC statues, Gundam, Saint Seiya Myth Cloth, SIC, SOC, the list goes one man lol

I love and collect the Guyver BFC line also but lately they've taken such a long break. We aren't getting any new Figure til Next Summer. Have you collected all of them yet? I sent away for the Lucky Draw items and only got a Balcus so I still need the Aptom processing tank :(

1/1 Lightsaber huh? Those are great, I'd love to collect those too if I already wasn't collecting so many other high end items..

I notice many US collectors it's hard to spend $100 on a figure but of course there are many that do. I guess in the US there are so many ppl and the market is so big therefore you can produce more and the price can be lower. Unfortunately in Asia little different, Lower qty produced so the prices are higher. Also not to mention JP living costs in general are higher than US.

Cool that there are some Toku 1/6 fans on this board. Nice hookup with your GF, are you 2 from HK??

COOL Tinster!
I have the B type. I wont open it up yet. MISB since I got em in Febuary.
MY fave Ultraman version in the series has alway been the A type due to the mask. It looks so retro and those imperfections gave it a menacing look.

I wanted to get the C type but whenever I find a piece locally, it seem to have small problem (the silver paint on the suit)

Ultra 7 looks excellent too.
