Re: Molecule8 (New company)
I'm pretty sure the truth will be somewhere in the middle... no ones going to be "right".

That's the plan... Show WIP photos chronologically until the final reveal. You nailed it. At least according to M8, that's their plan. They've stated that everything in the photos thus far are early WIP pics and that many improvements have been made... I'm looking forward to more, personally
Do you work for them? Because it sounds like you work for them.
It looks like you joined the forum, posted in some other threads to make it look less suspicious, and then post in this thread most of the time, defending them and explaining their actions.
This forum is more than happy to talk to company reps, but it works better when we know they're reps. When they're regular "boardies", they get involved in petty squabbles like this. So, it's best to just post as an official rep, lest you be labeled a shill.
The problem usually occurs when you aren't a rep, but act like it, post on their behalf, and explain things, then people complain to you because of various issues, because they think you're a normal boardie, where they'd have more respect for a company representative.
Just some food for thought.
Why string this along when you have a production piece? Don't really care about the process at this point if they aren't really in the process.

Maybe this is a silly question but is KA Kim a digital artist? I didn't think so but most of the images of this sculpt have been Digital.

He's just repeating what M8 commented on their Facebook post earlier today. I don't see how they makes him some kind of clandestine shill.
Not a rep, sorry. I guess I'm just not as negative about this new company as some. I often try to help others with information they may have missed. I enjoy this hobby and only want friendly and courteous persons involved in it. I've got zero tolerance for pettiness or rudeness, etcetera... Not saying you have been either. A bit presumptuous perhaps, but not necessarily rude. Also, I don't particularly care about what others think of my posts. I joined this forum because after 18 years of being a 1/6 enthusiast and collector I figured, why not? I wasn't aware that this forum had so much to offer. I'm excited to be a part of it and hope to stay that way. Hope this clears some things up for you.

I am sorry my friend but if you only want "friendly and courteous persons" involved in this (or any other) hobby you should start bracing yourself for some serious disappointment now...

I've been in long enough to know there are bad apples I just try my best to keep things friendly. If others want to be rude or nasty, that's their problem. I'm also aware that many persons on here are much younger than me and need to do some growing up. Anywho, I'm looking forward to more reveal pics of Lennon. I would have been stoked to see the final product by now, but I can wait. Patience is something I learned to have long ago in this hobby

Molecule8 said:The picture is just for the purpose of being able to show you the progress of John. These are not the finished figure Also the sculpt will also be further improved.
Molecule8 said:That is exactly what we want to do, take the 1:6 figure industry to the next level and at a fair price.
I don't know how accurate the info is but Asmus said M8 will be making 1/4 scale LOTRs figures.
