Hi SS!

With the announcement of the new legendary Scale Figures and some Life Size props, don't you think you should revisit your flexapy option, giving us collectors a bit more "flexibility" on how we can pay for these expensive pieces?

For instance, maybe you can offer a 3 month, 5 month, 8 month and even a 10 month payment option. So if a product is up to say $500, you can give the option to the consumer to pick either the 3 or the 5 month.

If the product is $1000, then you can give up to 8 month and if it is over $2000 then you can offer a flexpay option up to 10 months.

This would work for different reasons.....It gives the consumer more freedom on how to pay for what he is buying, making it more affordable to buy more pieces...

Also the scheduled Flexpay will be set up that coincides with he shipping date, so for example if the shipping will be March of next year, the people that picked 3 month Flexpay won't be charged their first payment until January. The people that picked 5 months will start in November and the people that picked 8 month will start in August and so on....

I also think that would be great for SS set up a system where we can follow how many payment we've made and how many left. You guys are going to grow significantly the next couple of years faster than you have the past 10 and now that you have one of the biggest licenses ever, DC Universe, I think it is time to step up and make it more consumer friendly.

We spend a lot of our hard earned money on you guys and I think we should be given the option how we want to spend it when it comes to Flexpay.

Cancelation fees are up to you guys but I think it should be a percentage of what you paid so far so if you made one payment of $150, maybe you should charge 15%(or $22.50)as a cancelation fee. If you made 2 payments for the total $300 then the cancelation would be 15% of that which is $45.

I do not think there should be a cancelation fee for Flexpay payments that are canceled BEFORE the first payment. Most of us are average collectors and when we cancel something is because we didn't have enough to make ends meet and get charged $20 before anything getting processed can be tough.

Anyway, here is food for thought about Flexpay. I think people would buy from you more often other than getting the usual 10% discount from a retailer, which is the main reason why they would get that regular version...but if we could get a chance to spread out our payments and have the freedom to choose what we want to do I think you would sell more Regular versions of your products and get a bigger profit margin which is incentive to expand your business maybe by opening Sideshow stores around the country.

Again, just Ideas but I hope it helps

Cheers

Bear

I'm new to collectibles, and the prices of some of them takes me back a little. So I couldn't agree more! It's just a shame when you are priced out of a figure. I would LOVE the new Neytiri maquette, but there is no way I can justify, nor can I afford to shell out over £1000 for her in one go! And the flexpay is too much too :( If it was a little cheaper over a longer period then it would be worth considering though...

War Machine 1:1 bust is $1000 and has 5 flex payments. I agree that for what the LSFs will likely cost, more payments would be beneficial to collectors.

My point being that I think we should be given the chance to choose how many payments we'd like to have. I know Sideshow does 5 payments for some of their items but I'd like to have the option to pay in 8 months to make it more affordable monthly payments..........

Couldn't agree more, Bear! :1-1:

I've been pestering the Ask Sideshow page for a while now with this very request!

I LOVE FlexPay and would not have been able to afford my current collection without it. So when it comes to these new higher end pieces, it would be fantastic if the FlexPay plans could be even a little more ... well ... flexible.

That would be VERY welcome!

Like you suggest, I'd love to be able to pick from a few different options. 3, 5, 8, 10 ... and so on.

Hey, if you're lucky enough to have the disposable income up front to buy a $1,500 statue in one shot or over just a couple of payments, that's awesome. Congrats. But I'm on a tighter budget. So I'd love to be able to pick a plan where payments would be in the $100-$150 per month range ... and last however many months are necessary to reach the total.

Please, Sideshow!

They are not going to do it.So where they are going to hold 8/10 months Flex Pay items, with more new stuff coming out every week.So SS would have to find more storage space ? Ya okay...

Webb - I think they are mostly going off of preordering items. Typically it takes 6-9 months from PO date to actually shipping so SS would not be "storing" them in their warehouse for long if at all. If you can afford one payment of 2k great! But, it seems like quite a few collectors out there think it would be easier to get billed monthly. Yes, theoretically they could stash away $xxx.xx every month, but most people like myself spend it if they have it. To each their own for sure, I just don't see the big deal if they offer a 3-8 month flex pay depending on the price point of the item.

Yes but the 6 months of Pre ordering, they still in production in China and not stored in California, and what happens when the item is in stock and people takes the 8/10 FlexPay option, let's multiply that:

10 Legendary Scale Figures or Life Size Busts X 500 people = 5.000 Boxes

I have some pre-orders coming next year that I wish I could start paying for now.

With the LSF announcements I think it would be great if they looked at more flexible payment options, like use paypal and your account page to make payments on your pre-orders when you want?

Imagine logging in seeing all your orders and throwing money down when you wanted until it was at $0.
