Saw this trailer before The Shallows today. Looks like another creepy one starring Anya-Taylor Joy (Thomasin from The Witch.)

There were quite a few interesting horror/suspense movie trailers that played prior to The Shallows. This one I was interested in the least. :(

I agree, first trailer was great, this one makes it look kind of hokey, almost like it's a sci fi slasher film, kind of like Ex Machina meets friday the 13th.

Yeah, that first trailer had me intrigued and made me think this was going to be something uniquely disturbing. I was thinking they made a horror movie loosely based on this real life study of a chimp that I saw in a documentary and just switched out the monkey for a human as the subject. This trailer makes it look like Ex Machina meets Splice IMO.

Just seen it. This is a great movie. But if you don't like Ex Machina, high chances you won't like this one. Morgan is like 2 steps up from Ex Machina.

I thought Ex Machina was the best film of 2015. Hard to imagine another movie trying to do that again so soon with comparable results, though if MORGAN is half as good it will still make for an entertaining watch. What does "two steps up" mean?

Guns, rifle, and more death than Ex Machina ever had.
The creator in Ex Machina is the owner of his own corp but Morgan is at least double with real scientist and development staff.
And maybe thirdly, the twist is that she may be the newer version, she fail to deliver. She is far from the only one.
Mr. Green enjoyed Ex Machina very much but this one is 2-3 step up, IMO.

Okay so basically Ex Machina on steroids. I think the lack of steroids was one of the things that made EM so brilliant so I wonder how much I'll like MORGAN's approach. Looking forward to checking it out but will probably wait till it hits On Demand or Netflix.
