Rooster Cogburn for me.

Hell's yes! I've got to give it to Cogburn, too. Snake's a total badass, but he just can't beat a character that's so badass that both The Duke and The Dude played him to perfection.:lecture Plus, bcuz Cowboys.:lecture

Best pirate ever, has jewellery on eyepatch, dead.
Can't get more badass than this!

Best part about this thread is all the patch wearing characters brought out of the woodwork :lol

Another honorable mention.

Richard Grayson in Batman Beyond.
Ever wondered where was Nightwing in the Batman Beyond series? He was too busy being a bad@$$, heck he was even more bad@$$ than senile old man Wayne. :lol

That's pretty neat, was he only in the comics? I forget since I haven't seen the show in years.

Honarable mention.

Kenpachi Zaraki from Bleach.

Always loved his character since he completely relies on brute force instead of technique like 99% of the other characters :lol

Yeah, I think they left out Nightwing in the cartoons because his backstory leading up to him wearing an eyepatch was too dark. Best thing is, the comics were set in the show's continuity as well.

The only mention of Nightwing in the show was in the Return of the Joker movie when Barbara told Terry "Look up Nightwing as he got stories". When I read the book, my reaction was: "Wow, he does have stories!" :lol

I always liked Batman Beyond, I thought it was a good follow up to the Wayne days.

At least post BTAS Bruce was in the JLU for awhile and went solo again as Batman well into his 60's until he needed a frikkin' near-fatal heart attack to drive him into retirement unlike that other movie..

Reading the prequel Walking Dead novel about the Governor at the moment plus last week's episode pushes him on top of my list at this time although Samuel L Jackson, Kurt Russel and Jeff Bridges in eye patches worked out pretty well for those roles.
