Most depressing:

The Road (I wanted to shoot myself in the head for most of the movie and at the almost very end--you know why)

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (for something that was marketed as a quirky black comedy, it was incredibly depressing)



Depressing but in a good way:

Atonement (the absolute best! One of my very favorite movies of all time)

Never Let Me Go (maybe slightly okay depressing)



Oh, and I remember Johnny Got His Gun from that Metallica video in the 80s.

A lot of people saying The Road. Have to agree. Bloody hell, that is some bleak ****. Saw it a few years ago, but can't ever see myself watching it again.

Most depressing:

Many great ones here...one who flew over the cuckoos nest....even the thing and Alien...in a way a no win situation
 
I don't remember what it was called, but I just remember the dude from that Beatles musical falling in love with Anne Hathaway and her getting run over by a bus. Actually not as depressing as you'd think.:lol
