I agree this will be a matter of mins and hopefully not secs!! :horror

Alan I think a "matter of minutes" is a best case scenario. Personally I don't think it's going to make it past 60 seconds. Don't get me wrong, I love low ES's, but the problem here is Sideshow has made this one extremely attractive to people who have no interest in LOTR and who wouldn't have even remotely considered pre-ordering this one had the ES been in the same ballpark as COD. As it stands, anyone going to SDCC and who thinks they can make a buck on this one are now going to order it. Now I certainly don't have any problems with flippers/flipping, but if SS's intent was to create a dio. for their loyal LOTR fanbase I suspect the results may not be as they envisioned.

I like the LOTR trilogy but I'm in no way an oficionado on any of the movies, but this piece doesn't pique any interest for me. SS took the right route with such a low ES. Yeah, it sucks that it will bring in the flippers.

If the PPO was a one day event and everyone had an opportunity to order one at the same time....I would have agreed with you.

I agree 100% The Scalper Scum as I like to call them are smelling blood with this one. They will make it almost impossible for those of us who truly collect LOTR to get one without have to pay more on ebay. Sideshow should have made the ES bigger, at least 500.

Though I have no love for flippers myself, they are a part of this hobby and a neccessary evil sometimes :dunno

The ES should have been closer to COD levels (1500, perhaps 1000)

You know what's really sad about this whole thing......even with the low ES, most of us who really wanted one of these could have gotten one....if only SS had waited until AFTER the PPO's to announce the ES. Most flippers wouldn't have thought twice about ordering one of these if they didn't know the ES beforehand. Good grief, how many times does SS wait weeks or even month's before finally announcing an ES? In this instance they decide to announce the ES knowing full well that the vast majority of the dio's are allocated for the day before most of us have a chance at one ourselves.

Now those are wise words from you there Woodsy, that hadn't really occured to me, but it is totally true, but i'll guess we'll just have to wait, watch, click and hope :(

You know what, on the whole I think SS is a fantastic company, but every once in a while they do something that really leaves me scratching my head .....Yes we will GG! :D

sad to say it but i think you're right. it's a shame too. out of all the dios so far this one might be my favorite so i'm kind of bummed about the low run.

i'm much more excited about this then the han and luke stormtroopers so i'll be a little upset if i end up with the troopers but missing the dio.

I hear and understand what you are saying.

The attendee edition won't sell out. The non-attendee will, but many on the wait list will get one. I do agree with you on that SS could have announced the ES after the sale. This definitely would have given the "true" collector a better shot at this piece.

The ES sounds about right. This piece, to me, looks like it would have sat in the warehouse if it wasn't a small run and an exclusive.
