Since we seem to be compiling lists of this sort, here's my question to all of you:
What movies did you dislike or downright hate on first viewing but then came to enjoy after watching it again later on down the road.?
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - I thought it was absolutely horrible when I saw it on opening night. Then last Christmas, Best Buy had the Blu-Ray for 50% off, so I figured "Why not?" I actually consider it to be my second favorite Indy movie now (Raiders of course being first). Yes, there are still parts that really irritate me, but I found myself enjoying the overall movie and think the alien theme was executed very well.
Titan A.E. - Not sure why it disappointed me in theaters. Maybe I was expecting more action. In any event, I decided to grab the DVD when it came out, and I consider it one of the coolest animated sci-fi films I've ever seen.
The Fog - Watched it at 3 am on a Saturday night in college and thought it was the dullest, most uneventful horror movie I'd ever seen. Tried it again a few years later, and now it's mandatory viewing during Halloween (along with Halloween)
Star Wars Trilogy - Yep, this big SW fan actually didn't care for the story back in the day. Thought the whole "it is your destiny" motif was ridiculous. When I got older and could understand the mythology more is when I became a fan. I always did like the action though.
