Take Shelter was a 10/10 film for me. It was immense!!!

Oh indeed it is!

This will most doubt be my favourite of the year. Jeff Nichols is fast becoming one of my favourite directors.

I got a real Mark Twain/Stand By Me vibe.

Incredible performances by all with the exception of Witherspoon.

Nichols really made this palpable for me. It felt so incredibly authentic.

Would like to get people's thoughts on the end?

Definitely a movie I want to see, but its one I'll wait to purchase on blu ray. Damn movie theaters are too expensive these days to justify seeing great character driven films such as these. Its either I pay 22 bucks in the theater or 17.99 to own it on BR. Sadly I only go to huge special effects driven films because they are the only ones I feel are worth the price of admission because the huge screen and booming sound add to the experience, an experience I can't replicate at home. I miss the old days when smaller budget theaters sold tickets for $6 and you could justify paying to see a great movie like this which doesnt rely on fancy effects or sound to entertain you. I am pretty sure I can watch this movie on any size screen and enjoy it just the same. I saw pulp fiction in budget theater, if it was released in today's market I would have no choice but to wait for blu to watch it. Those theaters are all extinct now, at least in my area.
