I've been thinking for awhile about getting the Pigs In Space set from Palisades and adding the eventual SS Bepsin Luke to recreate the part in the episode where he's in the bridge. I think the scale would be pretty close.

I have that same DVD... bought it off eBay then the seller got booted off for selling bootlegs

Technically speaking that was my very first introduction to Star Wars. I used to watch the Muppet Show when they had reruns on Nickelodeon in the evening.

EDIT: Actually it just occured to me, my absolute first introduction to Star Wars was from Muppet Babies...Indiana Jones too. Ah, good times.

I just learned yesterday that, according to the fan-documentary "Building Empire", Hamill's appearance on The Muppet Show in his Bespin outfit was actually months before Empire's release.

OH, MAN! I saw this when it first aired. And this was before I saw any of the SW movies (we were too poor back then to go to the movies )

I used to go nuts anytime a SW cast member appeared on a tv show.

There's another episode of Muppet Show where Leia appeared - I believe.

I just learned yesterday that, according to the fan-documentary "Building Empire", Hamill's appearance on The Muppet Show in his Bespin outfit was actually months before Empire's release.

It's kind of funny when you think about it. Mark Hamill, complete in Bespin outfit, lands on a mysterious planet, has R2 along with him, talks to a muppet controlled by Frank Oz, and meets a nemesis (Derth Nader) in a strange cave.

I can still remember seeing the episode when it first aired (Feb 21st, 1980), but I never even thought about any of those "similarities" when Empire came out a few months later.

Mark Hamill is really funny. One of my favorite Muppets episode.
Lot of fun.
It's really sad that Mark didn't have the chance to have a great carier has Harisson Ford.
Do you think it will be the same for Hayden Christenssen ?
