Whatever they used for the mms117 jacket and pants, was probably one of the most durable "pleather" I've had. I had that figure since release and only solid it last year and the jacket and pants were fully intact with no signs of flaking.

I still find it strange how the HT sculptors struggle with this. It's why I'd like to see this kind of work come from American companies every now and then.

Just guessing here, these are Asian/China/HK (IDK!) sculptors they use generally. Not everything translates to a different cultures perspective the same.

What would it cost for the American equivalent of what HT does?

There's no american company that can match what they do in HK for mass production. They're pretty crap in comparison tbh. Mondo for example is way overpriced and no where near HT/Inart quality, they can't even match some third party chinese companies (like their Kratos figure compared to onetoys). Hate the sentiment that american>china in quality, flat out wrong.

For what it's worth, this is how the BD figure looks in the showcase compared to the proto photos.

Doesn’t look as good as the promo pic which is expected but within my tolerance of acceptable. To me, it’s the best Arnie likeness they’ve done to date. Sculpt is looking like a solid 9 to me so far. Would like it to have a bit more saturation in skin tone.
