My Bowen Abomination review.

Another review of an old classic. I love the fact that this makes the smackdown Hulk an even better piece. Alone I have always thought Smackdown Hulk was a good but flawed statue but displayed along With Abomination it is officially one of my favs.

I have this statue as well...you can get it at a decent price nowadays...lines up nice with any Bowen Hulk

This is what Abomination should look like. The SSC Abomination face looks like a damn Gremlin. I'm hoping SSC makes a fully sculpted one and keeps Cipriano away from the head sculpt.

IMHO the BD Abomination is truly Randy's most underrated work. It's a fantastic looking statue.

Yep filip629 I pretty much agree 100%. I got this for a great price from fellow Freak TheHulk (great seller by the way). It is very underrated and as I said in my review, if you own any Bowen hulk you should own this guy. I love How they look together. The above photo is how I have them set up and it's my fav. display area in my room right now.

Hey they are not! There are two metal bars coming out or the ground on the Retro Hulk base

In all fairness it sould have the same base so it can be displayed with the Abomination.

Ink, does your hate for Bown statues have no limits???

This HULK makes for the Ultimate Hulk diorama. He can be posed against Wolverine, Thor, Wengido, Abomination and many, many others.

I got mine for 300.00. He is up in value right now because of the Avengers film. Only a few months ago I was seeing him go on boards like this for as low as 225.00. Now people on ebay are trying to sell him for around 450.00 - 500.00. I don't see him selling for that so you could contact the sellers and offer a lower price. That's what I did.

Or just wait for the Avengers craze to die down as I am sure his price will come down also.

I have both the BD Abomination and the smackdown Hulk. However, I have both of them in the faux bronze version. I never really liked the green color that BD uses on most of their Hulk statues. It's way to bright for my tastes. I found the FB smackdown Hulk much more to my liking. I think it's a great stand alone Hulk statue. For that reason I also picked up the FB Abomination to pair them up. I really don't care much for the FB line but I made an exception for those 2. I don't own any other FB pieces. Randy's Abomination is one of his best sculpts IMHO. It's a well done statue that is very true to its comic art source.

Agree with you about the color. To much yellow in it or something.

That display is sweet and is exactly how I used to have them displayed. I'm glad he's in a good home.
