Hi,
I’m just a 12” collector, I spend a lot of time on forums to see what’s new in the world but I never participate.
So, for my 40th birthday, I had a big gift.
In France, where I am, I grew up with several Japanese cartoons like UFO Grendizer (Goldorak) and Captain Future (Capitaine Flam). I was looking for a long time a good 12” figure of Captain Flam. Unfortunately for me, nothing happens. So I decide to look for someone who could make one for me. And I found the good artist, in France. He didn’t know a lot about 12” figures and this kind of stuff but I think he made a really great job. It took a lot of time to create everything and it costs me a lot of money. But I’m really happy to have it for my own. I hope you’ll enjoy and perhaps it reminds you some souvenirs….

Oh ... that brings old Childhood Memorys back to me ...

I used to have 3 3/4 inch action figs when i was a kid. I had a metal greg back in the days.
I always wanted a 12 inch fig of the Cap.

How much did you pay ? You got some more pics ? How many different hands did you get with the cap ? Please tell us more about this fig.

BTW ... Welcome to the show !

I paid a lot. I have 3 couples of hands. I could make more pics if you want.
I already ask to the artist who made it if I want to make other Captain Future. He said why not but people have to deal directly with him. I don't know the price he'll ask but it will be less than I paid. I can give his mail address by PM.
I plan to ask him the rest of the team but I need to save some money to do it.
What could I tell you? We worked during a month to see how to put the 2D to the 3D, choose the fabric, etc. Then it took a lot of time to create the whole design. When the prototype was finish, he made molds to cast the parts in resin and made the paint job. It was hard for him because I knew what I wanted.

Excellent! I'm not familiar with Captain Future either, but the pieces are clearly unique and not put together from other figures, and it matches the reference picture perfectly. You should be very proud! :)

thanks a lot. You're right about Medicom, I really love the way they makes this kind of characters. I have some of them and I wanted something like that.
