I had my Alien Warrior and I was taking off the one busted leg, which attaches to the hip joint. When I managed to take it off, the force somehow broke the other leg right at the joint. It's my own fault and I am pretty pissed off about it right now. I don't have money to replace him either. :monkey2

Oh no!:monkey2 I suppose there's no way you could repair the damage?

If it happens to me, I would be heartbroken too! I hope that you could find a replacement for it pretty soon!

I have no idea if it can be fixed... I am sure it is busted at the joint. This really sucks though because the one leg (his left leg) came broken to me. And I will eventually be getting a replacement leg for that one. But now the right leg is broken too!

Now that really sux! That's one reason why I keep all my HT's in the box, until I'm certain I've found the ideal furniture to display them. Not that I have the space at the moment...
I only put the Alien together once, to have an impression of how he'd look, and yes, you have to pull quite a bit to get him apart again.
The only thing I can suggest, is a real tough super glue. Here's what I can advice: Nitro, professional industrial glue. That glue has always worked for me, until now. Not sure if you can get it in the States, but here's the URL: https://www.nitro.be/
You have to choose between Dutch and French when entering the site, but a translator should help.

That sucks... there is no worse feeling than getting an expensive figure and then damaging it yourself. Its happened to me a couple of times... and it really becomes an issue of careful super-glueing like Alice stated.

Best of luck!

Although, have you contacted the seller about this issue? I wonder if they might be willing to work with you. In reality the only reason you were removing the leg was because it was broken... and that act resulted in the other leg breaking. You might be able to just get the whole thing replaced.

Its worth a shot at least...

I just sent an email to Toys 2, which is the company I got it from. Now, they were working on getting a replacement leg for the left leg that came broken to me. I asked them if it is possible for me to buy a replacement leg. So, now I gotta play the waiting game. I hope in the end that it will all work out. It just sucks because both legs are now both in two pieces. They are both broken at the knees.

See, that sounds more like a QC issue than you being an idiot. There's really no excuse for a figure being that messed-up from putting it togethr/taking it apart. Especially both broken in the same location... seems odd to me.

Yes, it's somewhat disturbing that some of the HT figures come as a kitt. But, I have to say they solved the problem pretty well. Still, I prefer figures to be assembled when bought; if you have to assemble them yourself, the risk of breakage is always there.

Here are the pictures of the damage...

If ANY customizer thinks they can help me out, PLEASE let me know!!! And should better quality pictures be needed, let me know.

Do you think you can repaire it with glue? Looks like it?!

Seeing your pics reminded me that I had to fix my Alien also! The little plastic socket that connects the tail to the rump fell out of the tail. I glued it with "Nitro", and all is fine! Worked really good.
Looks like these Aliens aren't as stable as they should be!

That sucks! If you can take some decent pics of the damage - I could suggest how to fix it. I fancy myself a whiz at fixing broken bodies.

Tin

EDIT: Whoops I didn't see the pics above. Let me see.

I agree with Alice Adrenochrome. The damage doesn't look irreversible. You can probably fix it good as new.

Ouch!

How do these break?! Forgive me, I am a newb on the 12" figs, but I couldn't imagine how you could do that from just normal posing?

Man, I am sorry TF.... That's horrible. I would say probably super glue it together and maybe you can still get decent knee movement still..... Just use super glue and an accellorator and it should be fine. I would probably consult with Les first though.. He owns this figure and might have a little more insight on it that I do....

That sucks though... :monkey2

Damn dude that sucks. I have the Alien Warrior and he's easily one of the "less fragile" Hot Toys figures I've owned (in comparison to all the gear the Preds,Colonial Marines, etc. all have).

If you're planning to super-glue, I wouldn't super glue on any broken joints unless you want him with a permanent knee bend or something. But if it's simple issue of a peg snapping off then that should be simple as pie.

If it doesn't work out, I hope you can manage to get a new one. That figure was one of the best of the year.

Good luck.

I would definatly say this is fixable. The knee joint is still attaced to the upper part of the leg. Have you tried just popping it back on? It looks like you can just put glue on the bottom of the joint and then put it in and then it should be fine.
