Different versions! The complete poem??!!! More than we got to hear in Not Fade Away? Awesome! You have to post that, pretty please, and then I have to show it to every Spike-fan I know.

When I saw the auction and the picture of the papers, I assumed they were all copies of the same paper, and I didn't think of that they had text not spoken on screen.

So awesome!

EDIT-

This reminds me why I'm not suppose to buy statues and non unique collectibles. I have to hold out for the props!

Yep. Some versions are the same, but others have a word of two that is either changed around or something to that effect.

And I TOTALLY forgot about Spike reading his poetry one last night on "Not Fade Away!!!!!!" You totally just made my night by bringing that up. I remember that moment thinking he FINALLY gets to finish THE poem that he wrote in "Fool for Love."

THAT'S THIS POEM, SKY!!! THAT'S THIS POEM!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT ABOUT THAT!!!! YOU ROCK, MY FRIEND!!! :rock :rock :rock

Hey, I want a piece of Buffy memorabilia/props too!:rock Where is this auction?

P.S.

Spike read a poem to Halfrek, right?

Well, he wrote the poem for her, but same thing. :rock (Another gentleman in the ep. took the poem from William's hands and read it aloud.)

You're on the ball!!! :rock

I do rock. It's nice that people notice.

Man, I wish I hadn't sold my Jonathan(from 'seeing red') & Spike(brown, maybe from 'First date') sweaters when I got desperate for money. The only props (unless you count pieceworks cards) I've ever owned.

Props are special.

Sweet, congrats buddy. Those will be great to have all nice and framed on your wall :rock

Aswell as the poetry in the Buffy flashbacks I remember the penultimate episode of Angel when he told them to live the night as if it were there last and Spike was on stage reading his poetry.
I remembering him saying after he'd finished ''and here's one I wrote about me mum''...maybe you'll get that too?! :lol

Some great collectors items you got there, although I must admit when I saw this thread I thought you had orderd a life-size Buffy Bot :naughty :lol
x :peace

Hehe, "The wanton folly of me mum" or something like that. I can't believe he was going(maybe) to tell about his creepy incesty vamp mom. Kinda personal.

And I think it was in the last ep, Not fade away, not pen *checking spelling* ultimate.

This is what it looked like the last time it went under the Hammer. In this eBay auction there was only one poem up for offer.

There were several different versions of the poem made by the BTVS prop department during the filming that episode. These are the completed versions of William's poem that never saw the light of day.

Oh I'm not doubting you. I'm sure there were, it's just this was the last time I saw anything like that up for sale. It was in one of the official Fox prop auctions not long after the show ended. They were selling off loads of stuff in waves.

I'm looking forward to seeing what your versions look like as Spike always has been my favorite character in the verse. :D

No, I know that! :rock

I'm just excited because these are the completed poems that we never got to hear about, making them a little more special and unique in my opinion. :rock I also own one of Gunn's infamous jean jackets that was screen-worn that I bought from them when Angel ended. I had the opportunity to talk with the director of all of these auctions years back. (I'm not sure if she's still there or not.) She told me that Fox just has all of this stuff stored in their possession and let's it trickle out whenever.

I remember the big auctions for the show props. Would so love to get my hands on one of those!

They're still running! :rock

They're focusing on Dollhouse right now though. And you didn't hear this from me, but they are auctioning off some of Eliza's dresses. :D

What I really want to know is how much they cost? :D

I've seen props go from 50 bucks (not that cool things) to ten thousands of dollars (props like one of the three schytes).

I almost won the picture with frame Buffy is holding with her and Joyce in it, that Dawn keeps fading in and out of, in the ep in season 5 when Buffy discovers the truth about Dawn. I think it went for a few hundreds. I don't think it had a FOX COA, and that might have kept me from bidding higher, but it looked real.

Can anyone post a link to some of these auctions? I just looked on E-bay and didn't see anything.
