Sideshow Premium Format figures are always impressive, if not always perfect. The sheer size and volume are amazing enough, but when they also do them up just right, the sculpt, paint and outfits can blow you away. Such is the case with the latest release, Lurtz from the Lord of the Rings.

Okay, so he might not be the first character you think of when you think LOTR, but he definitely one of the most visually interesting characters. And Sideshow has done a fantastic job of doing him justice, producing one of the finest PF figures of the entire format to date.

Bravo Michael! Superb review, this may be the best PF SSC has ever done, maybe even PF of the Year (if there was such a thing!)

Well, I had a category for best figure 18" and up last year, and yes, I think this guy is definitely in the running right now to take it.

Thanks for posting the review, and very cool review as they always are! I can't wait to get this guy, and the arrival date changed from today to tomorrow in fedex's system. My very first PF and it looks like a homerun!

A great review as always... I noticed that in the review the paint and outfit only get ***1/2 stars, but in the endcap its ****. And of course another great shot of Connor!!!

The final scores are the correct ones - somehow the ones in the category didn't get updated. Hey, I shot and wrote that review in 2 hours, so I was in a bit of a hurry. :D

Ah that makes sense then. See I'm not the only one who makes odd mistakes in their reviews. :lol

Nice review Mike. I love the Ducktales reference too.

Can't wait to get this thing.

I am glad to see I wasn't the only one somewhat let-down by the hollow base. I hate to think of ol' Leanin' Lurtz in a few years. :monkey2

The important thing is you tried... and you included Connor... BTW, I also spotted him in your BSG review! Nice job!

Sometimes if it weren't for diet Dew, you'd think my stuff was written by Nell.

What is the Aragorn review gonna say, "Tay in the Winn?":lol

Never saw that movie, but I'll never forget the trailer...
