And finally (sorry for this 3 post on the bounce) I made some modifications on my aragorn face.

I want to specify, my technique at that time was different of my indy head.

Marvelous work, my friend! You have an incredible technique for weathering. I feel like you may have overdone it in a few places, but weathering is very much "to taste" and I think the effect is very life-like.

Very nice work and beautiful photography, too. Can you talk a little bit about Frodo and Sam? Did you completely cover the flesh colored plastic? Also, how hard was it it to remove Frodo's Hair?

Keep up the great work and keep posting these great pics. Very inspiring.

Looking forward to your post about painting eyes. I always enjoy reading everyone's methods.

I like the cloths weather a lot, but I hope its alright to say, I would have left sam and frodo's paint alone. They were already perfect. I kinda feel like yours now look like they have too much covergirl makeup caked on. Maybe you could have thinned the paint better?

wow..............i missed this thread 1st time around. excellent work. i like the weathering you did as well on aragorn. a bit too much??? maybe but just chalk it up to lots and lots of battles....:D.

Haha, that's because Aragorn is a BADASS!!!

Great job on all of the figures!

If I may make one small suggestion: Never paint the "doll dot" in the eyes. Simply give it a nice gloss coat and allow the normal room lighting create the effect naturally. Doll dots just ruin a great eye repaint.

yes he is.....:rock.
i just got this fig from a trade about a week ago (my 1st 12" LOTR) and am looking at doing some weathering as well............probably go the less battles route though...:D. my skills only let me do so much realistic damage...:lol

Thanks for sharing!!
At one point I was going to give Boromir a cloak, but got screwed by "He who shall not be named!!!"
So I might do it on my own, after seeing your amazing work!!

And you said LOTR line was bad!! :gun

Thanks all

Shai Hulud your review it's a little hard/censorious for me (I didn't take that badly), but it's truth it's not my better repaint, it was in my first attempt. But the sick smiley it's not very cool.

I took other pictures

And my last with new skills. (not finish but the hardest part has already been done)
