So out of all these collectibles that we have, has anybody kind of customize or added anything to their premium format. Some of us do, siply because were creative and some women love it, i might add, besides the point, Here are two examples of the exclusive captain america. To note: if either of you are offended by what the exclusive is holding, I mean no harm, simply a comic book adaptation. Also the red skull, if offended please let me know i will remove it for your convenience.

I particulary like the last pic....cool display.

I'm more offended that the world wants to forget what those symbols mean! I dont think anyone should be allowed to forget what the symbol stands for, because as soon as we forget, we allow it to happen again! Everyone is so worried they will offend someone, but those ideas, and that symbol SHOULD offend people!! And it should CONTINUE to offend people. Make them remember what happend so that it doesnt happen again!

The whole Cap vs. Red skull isnt just two dudes slugging it out. Its two opposing ideals colliding. Cap stands for all that is right, and Red skull stands for all that is wrong (be it Nazi, or otherwise). It actually upset me that they wouldnt let Sideshow use a shwastika on Red Skulls outfit. The guy is always made out to be an evil evil VILLIAN. So putting that symbol on Red Skull makes the Nazi Idea out as a VILLAINOUS idea (which of course it is).

I dont know. Just my opinion. HOPE I DIDNT offend anyone.

I added a little bit to my Vampyre display awhile back :lol

and that American Flag really completes that Cap. Looks great!

You're right Hulksmashed, we should never forget. But that is no reason to display the symbols of the Nazi's at all times. The context plays a big role here. Those that know about the background of Captain America will probably understand. And even if I know a bit of Captain America, Nazi symbols always alert me for reasons I will not further discuss here.
There's always an aspect of ambiguity with those Nazi symbols. If the context these symbols are shown in is not clear, you never know if it's mend as condemnation or if it's just blunt propaganda.
Just last Saturday a "friendly" young German right-winger handed me a leaflet advertising their cause in a pedestrian area. Only after I had accepted the paper and read the first few lines, it was clear to me, who just had approached me. They blend in. Needles to say, that my day was ruined. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that right wing idealism is very much alive here in Europe. It's not a game. It's not just in (comic) books or on television. And the worst part is that there's no Captain America to solve the problem. The less swastika we see, the better. I think this is a very serious matter.

By this I don't want to say that I'm offended by your picture Hellz Manik. As you see, it has provoked an interesting discussion.
They're your statues, you can display them anyway you like. Who gives a hoot what anyone else would think. ...
But I'm very sure some people would be offended. It's one thing if this set-up is displayed at his home, and an other if this set-up gets published on the internet, don't you agree?

I completely agree with you! I definately do not think that swastikas should be treated lightly, and I definately understand the idea of not using them on the Reg Skull Statue! The problem, is that the symbol itself caused no harm. The symbol is not evil, or sinister. The people that stood behind the symbol were evil. What the symbol stands for is horrid! I remember being in school and seeing kids carving them into thier desks and having NO idea what they mean. I understand that kids don't need to be exposed to such things, but I sometimes think that the kids that grow UP and give the symbol new life are a result of ignorance. Everyone tip toes around the subject (and not just this subject, but a countless number of others as well). In the end we just glide over subjects of sensitivity in order to eliminate the possibility of offending someone. That leaves room for ignorance, and ignorance leaves room for persuasion, and persuasion leads to that person that handed you the leaflet.

So I do agree with you. It has no place as a symbol to stand behind, but I believe it should never be eliminated. If a kid asked me what the symbol meant I would be sure to tell them, and hopefully they will never have to or WANT to ask again.

I know this isnt the place for such discussion. Sorry.

yep i suuuure did and i love it. heres another one for you guys

Seeing it like this, I could see how people would be offended. It's your place, do with it as you please, but I would never choose to have a swaztika that large displayed like that. I think an arm band would have been "suitable" because it's true to his look and it's on his outfit. But when you start throwing in large banners and flags and accessoires, some whom this subject is very personal to them could be very upset by the image.

Maybe if it could be set up where cap is taking a big crap on the Nazi flag, that would be more fitting.
