My NECA Wolf repaint....

incase anyone cares....

unmasked. I really HATE ADI's Predator faces. They're all fat, goofy, and over the top. The Mandibles also point in wrong, they shouldnt be like that! Winston's Preds had their mouths pointed at an angle... I fixed it.

I also repainted the face, I dont care if its accurate or not, it LOOKS good. Way better then NECA's paint job...

I reapainted all the weapons too...to make them look like their movie counterparts...or not, anyway it looks better then NECA's again...

I also added little details throughout. Like Wolfie's LED lights on his wrist comp. (Did it for both)

Using SIDESHOW for the refrence, I painted the gun undersides brown, and added little tiny dots to simulate the countdown effect...thing. (Only did the countdown for one cannon, painted the others the same)

Now the Masked. Rapainted his WHOLE head, it didnt look metallic at all...

and Wolfie!

Mcfarlane and NECA are crap compared to Hot Toys. Then again its not really fair since they're price points are different. But then again, is HT Wolf Predator 15 times better than NECA's? Absolutely YES

Woah super nice. Can I send you my Wolf and have you paint them for me too? Yea I had the face paint on the wolf unmasked. The face and the rest of the head looks like it's in 2 shades. And the cannons look way better now with color. Let me not get started on the spear. Dude awesome job. I wish I had an awesome Neca Wolf like yours. And I liked both Mcfarlane and Neca Preds. Wish the paint job was better on Mcfarlane and with the Articulation on Neca was better. Fuse them and make the the perfect 6 inch predator someone!

The 18 Inch? I don't know. The paint is so dull. I like the paint job on the hot toys robocop but I feel like his head is too big and I hate his long @$$ neck. The Mcfarlane Robo is pretty neat. Wish they made a 12" version of a non-battle damaged.

I challenge you to post pics of any of the McFailure's Preds in any kind of "cool" pose.

Also, I challenge you to show me these "good paint jobs" you speak of. I seem to remember their color pallete was about 3 different colors...

the mcfarlane avp predators were actually really good figures.
they had accurate proportions and had good articulation.
the only issue i can remember with them were the accessories.

and their p1 predators were really accurate, too. just had crap articulation.
the same goes for the neca wolf.
the mcfarlane p2 figs were almost perfect.

all of the hot toys preds have accuracy/proportion issues. all of them.
not one of them looks right compared to the movies.
which seems wrong considering their price point.

Well I think the Hot Toys not looking accurate, (same with McF) helped it rather then killed it. I dont like the AvP look at all, too fat, and plump, McF, and HT made them skinny and lean, which was good. Same with the Alien, they made the feel look like Alien feet, not guy in a suit feet.

Im not sure I get all the hate for McF here....
