The Medicom Sandtrooper is in pretty good scale with Hasbro's Dewback. Better scale than the Hasbro Trooper is, that's for sure...

I feel a VERY large custom coming on....

Does anyone have the Marmit Sandtrooper and the Medicom so we can have a side by side comparision shot? I like the articulation of the Medicom ones, but am I the only one who thinks the helmet just looks way out of proportion?

While your figure didn't have this happen, the one thing I've seen a lot of people experience was the left shoulder pad falling off. I think you should add that to the "what to watch out for".

Nice!

I had this guy preordered but cancelled just before they shipped. He looked better with the prototype wear on the suit. I'll forgive the Jedi helmet because they obviously used "Special Edition" references, but he could've been a lot better for that pricetag. I think if they'd sprung for a different helmet he'd have a much more ANH/30 Anniversary feel and less of a repaint feel.

Side question here, what body is that McLeod on? SS's standard body? If so the Medicom Boba and Jango won't look too out of place, especially if you throw some of those leg extenders on them.

I assume (hope!) that Boba and Jango will be on the Clone Trooper body, which is bigger than the previous Stormtrooper body theey've been using. They'll still need extenders but the overall scale will be better proportioned.

Yes. There's a 12" Stormtrooper review on https://www.mwctoys.com by a guest reviewer. There you can see some pictures of a Marmit trooper next to a Medicom trooper. Be sure to check out all the Stormtrooper reviews, because there are two or three, and i don't know which one has the comparison pics.

Personally, I like the Marmit helmets better too, but overal, it's the Medicom Troopers I think look the best.

great review as always michael. the sandtrooper is a great looking figure but the price tag has steered me away from it for the time being. i may try to pick one up later if prices dip a little but so far lord vader and boba fett are the only two which i have dished out that amount.

That looks better then the figure a lot better. IT much more weather and doenst look so random. Plus all the white has a brown tint to it unlike the figure. It could be much better and at $150 it should be.

Random? Every bit of brown is random on that Sandtrooper! Why must we keep coming back to this well?

I like Sandtroopers, but couldn't really see spending $150 on one. I have the regular Marmit kit, but if you get one I'd highly suggest swapping out the base body since the supplied one is pretty cheap.
