Man, that looks rough! Hope he feels better, and I guess a glow in the dark cast is a fair trade-off

I worked on a spinal cord unit and took care of more than 1 quadraplegic who broke their neck on trampolines. I won't let my kids near one.

At least your boy will be home for Christmas Tom. Whatever you do, don't let him scratch inside the cast with anything. It's a breeding ground for infection with open abrasions.

Have to agree with both of those, Trampolines just seem ridiculously unsafe.

And I made the mistake of scratching my arm when it was in a cast, got a nasty rash that itched even more :monkey2

Ouch. That pic makes my skin crawl. I put my knee out on my parents front porch last week and that was painful (even the idea of it) but seeing that pic.... *shudders*

Hope he feels better soon. :santa

Damn, that sucks, especially right around the holidays.

I broke my leg when I was a kid - was bedridden with a thigh cast for a month - it was NOT fun.

Hey Tom, sorry this happened now but like has been said, glow in the dark casts are always awesome. Im sure he will still have an awesome Christmas.. but wow that picture is insane.

I feel ya, about 2 years ago my then 6 year old boy fell on our trampline wrong and broke his femmer. he spent 3 months in a body cast. I had to carry him everywhere. It was tough. He spent easter in it and we bought a red wagon to tote him around when we went out in public. Needless to say we don't have the trampoline anymore. :lol The joys of parenthood-:rotfl:rotfl

:lol That's insane.

hope your boy feels better soon. my little dude has only had to deal with stiches, i hope that is all.

me too, i fell down 12 icy steps. a friend of mine came over and drew naked chicks and demonic stuff all over it. The woman who took my cast off was not amused, moms was lightly embarrassed.

Classic. :lol

You certainly find out who your friends are in times of crisis.

I remember breaking my arm around the holidays and it was not fun. Hope your little boy finds a way to enjoy himself. If he gets a cast, he can hit people with it, that's the only thing that made mine bareable

Wow Tom, what did he fall off of and at what angle? I broke my arm when I was nine, but it was through the radius and ulna near the wrist after falling off a rope swing extending my arms behind my back to 'break' my fall.

Ouch, I think if I saw that in person I would vomit. Poor fella, at least a glow in the dark cast will be cool. And its always fun to have people sign a cast.

I broke my arm when I was in early elementary, it was during the summer in Florida. No swimming. :( Then I broke a growth platelet or something in my heel on Easter morning and was unable to hunt for Easter Eggs. :( I hope your son manages to have a great christmas even with the cast.
