Re: My Statue Photography.

Same here. Collecting has made me really enjoy taking pictures, I just need to get me a real camera.

Your pics look good to me. :)

Problem with trying to do shots with more that 1 statue is finding a table big enough to fit more than 1 on at a time cos these things aren't small are they? :lol

Re: My Statue Photography.

Thnx -jay-, I think I have managed to take some nice shots, but my $90 super compact is a few years old and sux ass :lol

I'm not gonna jump into the DSLR cameras, too much $$$ for me, and the learning curve and lenses freak me out. I am trying to decide between the Canon G12 and the Panasonic LX-5 right now.

And yeah, it is a major pain in the ass shooting multiple premium formats, especially stuff like Hulk :lol

Re: My Statue Photography.

I've been reading reviews on both for the last couple days, I will read those too. Thnx for the links -jay-

Re: My Statue Photography.

Camera is the Canon 450D using a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II. :)

*Check wallet* Yup...still empty! :lol

:lol

In total it was about £500/$800 but well worth it because i really enjoy taking pics of my collection and i'd never even taken pics before getting into collecting. :D

I'm just starting to tinker around with taking pics. I used to take lots of pictures when I was younger but lost interest...now with this hobby, and seeing Ingo's, King's and your pics, my interest has perked again! :hi5:

The pictures you've taken are really good, King! I thought you had been using some high speed, technically advanced, only for the rich camera like Jay! :lol

I keep hearing that. Watch me get a new $400 camera and my pix are gonna start sucking :(

Sometimes I look more forward to taking pictures than actually receiving the piece. I have more toy pictures on my computer than pictures of friends and family

Is it the EX version summer house? :rotfl

SSC statues always take good pictures and never complain about "being too fat", having a "bad hair day" or "don't like their picture taken" because they might get recognized by the police. :lecture

:goodpost:

Irrefutable logic right there.

You should have seen my girlfriend roll her eyes at me when I told her I needed a new camera to take better pictures of my toys.

My toys never roll their eyes at me. Pffft....:pfft:
