The funny thing is I remember in the early 80's I wanted an Optimus Prime so bad; however, we were so goddamn poor. Now I’m in a position where I can buy anything that I want. Even though I have lots of expensive collectibles today; getting an Optimus Prime is a lot more personal for me because it was the one thing that I wanted that eluded me and basically reminded me I was poor kid who couldn't afford it. Even though it's not the original OP he is more than satisfactory. So I have to buy this piece because when I look at Optimus Prime it will serve as a symbol and remembrance of a time when I had absolutely nothing...but that I now conquered. Also when i look at him it will be a reminder of never forget where you come from no matter how successful you get later in life…but to continue to more forward and do good so your children will have a better life than you.

for me 80'S OPTIMUS PRIME represents my Childhood growing up.
Means alot to me as well.

I think it is important that you let your viewers know that this is the perfect representation of Prime in the television show.. it looks very different to the actual Gen 1 toys that were released in that era. I think for allot of people, the toys represent the true Gen 1 look, not the television show.
By the way,
The hasbro 25th anniversary edition is better
The Autobots display base with voicebox makes this figure all the more presentable in my opinion.
