The hasbro 25th anniversary edition is better
The Autobots display base with voicebox makes this figure all the more presentable in my opinion.

Yeah, but Hasbro neutered his smokestacks because they were worried kids would eat them, or something retarded like that.

I got custom ones from Agesthreeandup.com back in the day, though, so I love him. I prefer the "battle damage".

It's such an awesome figure mate. Tell me something, does the axe that comes with your Prime have a slightly sticky feel to it?

I think it is important that you let your viewers know that this is the perfect representation of Prime in the television show.. it looks very different to the actual Gen 1 toys that were released in that era. I think for allot of people, the toys represent the true Gen 1 look, not the television show.

They are both great figures but the Mp Prime has more features that make it the best figure in my opinion.

See... Mine did not come with any DVD. It was made with the same amount of metal parts as the takara (almost, if I remember correctly) but the display base with voice was what really amazed me. I never got around of picking up the Takara rig for the back though...

I have the 25th anni Prime but he's still in box and I've opened my Megs to display him for a short time, in the future I plan on getting the MP-04 with the Convoy not the MP-01. Definitely get Megs, it's the best Megatron out. Also sold a bunch of Masterpiece Starscreams this summer that I believe to be the best representation of SS and just have the one left for the keeping.

Next in line for me for sure is Grimlock MP.

over here in malaysia, the masterpiece series (esp mp4s) are very very popular and at one time the prices were ridiculous. but since retailers brought in more to meet demand, u can get em for quite cheap nowadays...
