These stories are why people burn down buildings.....
I have only had to do it once. I went to the store, told them what happened. They initiated the process and told me to tell the person the item was shipped to that ups would be calling them to schedule a pickup and they sent the package back to the ups store I sent it from. At some point I assume a UPS claims person assessed the damages and processed the claim.El Roranous said:Interesting. They will do that for you even if they didn't package it. Please forgive my lack of knowledge on this subject. Thankfully I have not had to deal with these type of situations as the shipper.
What happens next after the package arrives back to you? Do you ever print your shipping labels online?
El Roranous said:If you let the UPS store pack it for you then they are the ones responsible for the damage. Keep on them and they will pay. They will deny you as long as they can though.

I have had items show as an exception and they were just delayed. My Alien Warrior bust I just got recently had an exception. I think the site eventually said that a train caused a delay.Darklord Dave said:If it says "exception" then they think they tried to deliver it, or it got misrouted or the manager liked it and is keeping it.
But seriously - you need to call them. If it says exception then something has happened and you need to tell them what to do.
