That's a ridiculous story. People online mostly don't have friends that they don't know in some way, they don't just add friends for no good reason. And his screen name was obviously fake (Goto123?)

There are online predators out there, but you'd have to be completely stupid to be caught by one.

Alot of kids are not stupid just very naive. Some are just too trusting for their own good. Many are looking for friends that are not really there. I tell my kids to stay away from anyone unless they know them and even then I am nervous.

Actually there is a frightening network of pedophiles and they know that their chances of being caught decrease significantly if they kill the child after the molestation.

Why aren't these guys killed immediately?

I know that this is not PC but I so agree with your last statement. To me these guys are a waste of air and have no socially redeeming value. They should be put down.
