Tottaly agree but lets not forget the Predator Maquette also.

Ok, got a few more items that I'd like to show scince they are currently
not posted in my collection thread.
First up is the Altmanns Armour Phase II Stormtrooper helmet which
was manufactured here in Australia back in 2005.
Its not tottaly original as i have modified it to make it more screen accurate.

When i was holidaying in Thailand last year I took these two images
along with me on a usb stick. The first image is by
Carlos Valenzuela

And the second image is by
Benjamin Carre (Thanks to icruise for that info)

I tracked down a local thai artist by the name of Ake who recreated
both these images for me using oil on canvas, they cost me next to nothing, in actual fact getting them framed here in Australia cost
more than the paintings...
Anyway here are the finished products framed and on my walls.
I think they turned out fantastic and will definately be doing this
again when i go to Thailand again next year.

This is a pic of Ake (the artist) taken in his studio in Thailand.

And only my second collectible for 2011. It's been a slow year.

That is an awesome gift man! Major congrats on that statue and also a belated happy B-day!

Hey Nacho,

Fellow Aussie collector here (only in the infancy stage mind you).

I just wanted to ask from where you sourced your display case(s) that you have your T-800 in below. I'm trying to hunt one down myself but I'm having trouble finding people here that supply them.

I'm in Brissie and came across a company in VIC but they refuse to ship up here due to risk of damage (which I can understand) and internationally sourced just seems too darned expensive with shipping.

I realise you probably bought it a while back but any help is greatly appreciated.

Great collection by the way. Love the Giger Alien bust.

I had that acrylic case custom made from here -

There very helpful and their customer service is top notch.
I'm very sure that they deliver Australia wide, just drop them an
emal to confirm it.
That perticular case is 420mm H x 230mm W 230mm D (inside dimentions). 4.5mm thick acrylic.
10mm thick black base with rebate.
There a bit on the expensive side, that case cost me from memory
around $200 but I couln't get it done any cheaper from other quotes
I had from other companies.
Anyway good luck mate, hope I was able to help you...

Most of the ones I came across were $200+ as well and I'm a bit hesitant to spend that sort of dough on a cover.
Especially when you can pick up whole cabinets from Ikea for around the same price.
I guess it just depends on how I use the space I've got.

In any case, I'll drop them a line and have a chat and see how I go.

I most probably will get the Wolf LSF, it will all come down to how much
it will cost. I'm hopefull the price will be resonable considering it looks
to be 1/4 in scale. We'll see...........
