So I'm in Utah (Zion) on vacation and just tried to go into a bar to watch the Lakers kick the crap out of the Jazz for the 4th quarter. I walk into the sports bar that's part of the Best Western I'm staying at, ~20 people watching the game, and I sit at the bar and ask what's on tap.
"Sorry, we can't serve you."
I had one beer during dinner, so it wasn't because I was unservable (i.e. too drunk). So I ask why not.
"It's after 10 PM and the kitchen is closed, and unless you order food, we can't serve you beer. Sorry, you're in Utah."
What crap!!! It's bad enough that I have to overpay for watered down beer at the tourist market (18 pack = $23, and has less alcohol content than your normal beer, seriously), but now I can't even get served.
If this place didn't have such beautiful scenery, there wouldn't be any reason to visit this place.
It already looks like the Lakers are going to beat Utah, so good, and I hope it's a sweep (I haven't been following along too closely once the Suns made such an embarassing exit).
