Why the hell would the NBA issue a statement like that when David Stern was quoted earlier in the day as saying it should not have been called a foul?

The NBA should have STF up about this. If they were going to practice revisionist calls, they should have revisited every foul or no foul call in the ENTIRE game. Lakers got hacked to death with few calls made. I think late in the third period there were NO fouls called against the Spurs, something like that. Now, I know the Spurs are very good about keeping fouls to a minimum but come on, I saw plenty of bumps and body fouls going on...

These Officials were completely inconsistent. Crawford had his head up his ass when Duncan took four steps, three of them loping steps to the bucket with that jam and NOTHING was called. It was a complete joke.

Better leave the NBA call reviews alone or it just brings attention to the atrocious officiating in the first place.

How could they NOT call that travel on Duncan? Every 4 yr old saw it...

Some of those Utah fans were despicable, throwing crap at the Lakers, cursing at them and everyone else who listened including The ABC/ESPN Broadcast Crew. Mike Tirico? had to admonish them as bitter a-holes on National TV.

But that was just a few of them. Utah Fans are very passionate and that's a good thing, but some of them were jerks.

Fact is its easy to watch the replay over and over agian and say it should have been called a foul...but look at it this way it makes up for all those flops manu does ALL the time.

I pretty much agree with you. The officials called that game in favor of the Spurs the whole way. I can't stand listening to all the local media ^^^^^ing about it. The Spurs were given every chance to win that game and they didn't. I do disagree with one thing. I only saw Duncan take 3 steps on that dunk.

So does Chris Paul, but nobody gives him ^^^^. I saw his ass flop during a time out as he and Bruce Bowen were walking toward a ref. It is all perception. Just like people calling Horry a dirty player for his hip check. I see no one calling Chris Paul a dirty player. He punched a guy in the balls in a college game, yet everybody loves him. It is all perception. For the record, I don't like the flopping either, I just can't stand that people act as if it begins and ends with the Spurs.
