Still mulling over my bracket. Last year Connecticut screwed me hard, so did Michigan State, so I'm really trying to make sure I don't get thrown in the first couple of days :lol

I don't follow basketball, have no clue before March Madness begins who's done well, but I usually read up and do a bracket for a shot at a few bucks with some people. Then it makes it somewhat interesting to watch, since it takes over so many channels. :lol Getting ready to watch Arizona and Texas Southern. I picked Arizona to win the whole thing this year.

Going to be at a great joint near our house tomorrow night that we enjoy that will have the games on a few TVs we can watch while we eat too much good food.

lol i picked wisconsin over kentucky too. Called it in the elite 8 actually. If they got past Notre Dame they were gonna get stopped by Wisconsin and sure enough it did happen.

Some very questionable calls in 2nd half went Duke's way. How many times did Winslow pick up his fifth foul? I counted at least twice. Not to mention the ball that went out of bounds off his finger tip. It was pretty evident from the replay, yet the refs still gave Duke the ball which led to a 3 for them. Wisconsin didn't make enough plays to win at the end, but they were dogged by the refs the entire half when they could have pushed the lead.

Calls did seem to be going Duke's way, but the real difference was that Duke was making shots in the clutch while Wisconsin faltered. The better team won IMO, even though they were pretty damn evenly matched, and I hate seeing an underdog get that far and then lose. Coach K is probably the best basketball coach I've ever seen.

I think Wisconsin was favored in every tournament game (including 1 point over Duke last night) with the exception of Kentucky (-4.5). They were hardly an underdog, especially as a 1 seed.

Refs always make some bad calls, but at least in the Kentucky game they were going both ways. The late calls in Wisconsin's favor in that game seemed like make-up calls after they got a charge on offense and then the same play on the other end was a block. They were inconsistent but the refs seemed to make up for them. Last night the refs called fouls on Wisconsin all second half but let Duke play more physical. Duke player was out of bounds on an assist that lead to 2 points and they got the ball after hitting it out of bounds that lead to 3 points. Those were huge possessions late in the game and Wisconsin paid for it.

The refs certainly changed the momentum of the game on their own. The two halves were reffed completely different. Once Coack K bitched at the half about the calls, that was it. I just don't get the blatent missed calls down the stretch. The two out of bounds calls come to mind. Those led to big plays for Duke. At the end of the day, Wisconsin needed to hit their shots and didn't. Duke and that Justin Bieber look alike were on fire down the stretch.

You can't let the game be that close and let the refs decide it like that. Dekker and Gasser were non existent. They just looked tired at the end. Maybe the Kentucky wore them out more than we know. The Duke starters were benched for most of the 2nd half of their game vs. MSU where as the Badgers played a complete nailbiter to kentucky. All factors.
