Thanks for sharing my video! I was in a rush to get this out before work, so I didn't really do my research on it. Figured out that extra piece once I had more time which was for the grapple gun to attach to the belt..! Damn awesome figure by Neca, especially for the price! A must have for any 89 Batman fan! :lecture

Great review as usual emarae! I just can't wait for him to get here!

Seriously though in the video thumbnail that figure sure has presence at $80 over the $200+ figure.

But the real test is to see how it compares to the other big boys!

This figure looks really good, and I'm not even a big fan of Burton's Batman.
Does anybody have pics next to Enterbay's and HT's 1/4 figures? Curious to see if the scale matches between these figs.

I am very bad at telling materials but the Cowl and crotch area are made with soft plastic. I don't think its rubber. You know, like the ****ty soft plastic for used for 6" scaled action figure capes

Yeah, I don't own any of the Enterbay or Hot Toys 1/4 scale figures at the moment as I'm way too into 1/6 to try to collect that scale, but I'd be curious to see how he looks next to some of them. I do have the 1/4 HT T-800, but that's not something to compare this figure with really.

As mentioned above, I'd love to see this figure with one of the other 1/4 Batman figures by Enterbay or HT.

Well, I was thinking the same, but it seemed easier to say rubber to get the idea across that the material was softer. The material you are referring to would be soft vinyl I suppose, but this material on this figure seems a tad softer to me, especially in the parts for the crotch & body. So I guess it's like a really soft vinyl material or a firmer rubber type material. If anyone is worried about it deteriorating, I don't think it will.

The head easily pops off if anyone intends to get a custom cape done by someone like Tony Meis, but the cape that it came with is actually pretty good as it doesn't have wiring and hangs nicely with some futzing.

Thats good to know that the cape could be replaced. Would it be possible to take a picture of it if you ever remove the head?

For those that pre-ordered from Gamestop, the release date has now been pushed back to 12/16.

Here's a few quick pics of mine with the head and cape off.

Since the base body is the same, I'm definitely seeing a Returns suit from NECA in 2014. It would only require a newly sculpted chest armor and the head sculpt cowl texture smoothed out.

I would love that to happen. After all, HT's promised 1/4 Batman Returns seems to be as impossible as Keaton being Batman on screen again... ans when it happens, I dread how much it would already cost.

BTW, the cowl on BR's not just more smooth in texture. There's a slight difference in shape compared to 89 cowl, particularly on the neck and eyebrows :)

So the head pops right off then correct???

It sure looks that way. I'm guessing we'll see a custom Tony Mei cape for this bad boy soon and that's going to make this figure that much sweeter.

Some really nice pics so far.

If SS hadn't announced their PF I might have gotten this but all it would be is a placeholder for it or the eventual HT 1/4 scale Keaton.

The body looks great on this. The belt too, even got the color right. The cowl and face sculpt is keeping me from getting it though. The cowl more than anything I guess. Nice for the price regardless.
