Was time to change up the pose. How often do you change not only the poses but where the figures are located in your collection? I feel like I might need an intervention lol.. I mess with my display far too often!

This latest change was in perpetration for the 1/4 Mark 43 and that doesn't arrive until next year. I like to have a game plan!

Thanks! Patriot is the 1/4 scale figure from Play Imaginative holding the 1/4 shield from NECA's Captain America figure.

He looks awesome. May look into that.

This is still one of the best figures released this year imo. ?Neca did awesome releasing this and the Penguin. Id love to see them release some different preds like the Beserker and wolf and a catwomen.

very nice pose Royce, u ran wire in the cape correct?

Also, where did you get that stand?

Hey thanks guys. It's the stock cape that I ran a wire through.. Well actually two wires. One along the bottom and one along the right side. I think all capes should come wired. I just allows you to add so much more personality and flair to a pose.

Purely an accidental discovery. I was trying to figure out how to display him elevated and when I lifted him he stayed. His weight leaning forward is applying backward pressure to the metal support pin. There is enough pressure that it doesn't move.

LOL

I would not trust it if it were not stable. The stand has a very large base plate and it doesn't rock or sway at all.

Great job Libby!!! Awesome!

I would like to make you a question!! I want to dress my Reeve, but I don't know how to do it. I think, I'm going to break it.
How did you do it? You took out the red slip? Or did you take out the legs? And how????

Please help me! Thanks a lot!!
Cheers!!

I had Reeve repainted, and I'm really happy with h. It shows how good the sculpt is on this thing. I also heated his hair with a heat gun and pushed it down to remove the poofy look.

Congrats on the mod and repaint - puts in it a different league altogether!!! A tutorial would be great -

I didn't end up getting this as to me it looked like Jeremy Kyle in an Elvis wig but seeing that has shown its true potential...

The repaint and mod look awesome, congrats! Who did the repaint, if you don't mind saying? :clap

It was done by Kai Pan in Taiwan. I've had a few items painted by him and they have all been top notch. He's always very busy with projects so I had to wait a few months but it was well worth it.

To mod the hair I removed the head, which is completely hollow, other than a pice of plastic with a circular recess to fit to the neck piece. I heated the hair with a heat gun and allowed it to get quite hot. Then I pushed the middle section down with my palm to put on even pressure and held it until it cooled. I heated it ahain nearer the frin to push the spit curldown towards the forehead and held that until it was cool. It's all stayed where I put it and not gone back over time like I thought it might. Just be careful as the top of the curl is quite thick and can take the heat ok, and will also need to be quite warm to move it. The tip howver is muchmore delicate, mine started to melt a bit and I had some black plastic stick to the forehead. Maybe best to put some paper under it in case it gets too hot. The neck was also shaved down to allow the head to sit lower.

You should definitlety get this fig if you can. I was dubious looking at pics, but it's much better in person. Once I get a fabric suit sorted I think it's going to have topped my hot toys version, which set the bar very high.

Libby's suit + booshman's repaint is the perfect 1/4 reeve superman
Hope hot toys makes it one day

Very nice paint work. I dismembered my other 2 copies of this so I can put them also into the suits and I want to make a mold of the head and attempt to make two different expressions.

just a fyi to folks modding this guy ,might seem obvious but the hair is a separate piece and can be removed with the boil and pop method

any input
and here he is put back together with his head sitting in a lower position non the worse for his surgery ,in his garden of solitude guarded by his labradoodle guards , because if you've watched the documentary "the death of superman lives" you will know Jon Peters says "labradoodles are the fiercest killers in the animal kingdom!" lol ,well them and spiders ,and polar bears and ,himself etc

on a side note i gotta say neca really stepped up with this guy 100% improvement on the other neca 1/4 scales i have in every way ,this guy stood unaided on a trampoline no less lol for a couple of hours never wobbled never fell ,cant remember any of my others having that kind of joint or weight distribution success ,

great work neca ,roll on the next figure

great work with the repaint boooshman ,looks fantastic it really shows the quality of the sculpt ,and for my money and as much as i love the hot toys version ,i think the neca is the better likeness to reeve and overall more screen accurate ,boots etc ,as to the hair mod ,heres my picture of the head disassembled from a while back ,i got mine softened enough to do the mod with boiling water ,and have had it work with a hair drier ,it you get it soft enough you don't need to separate the hair just squash it flat and cool under the cold tap ,
