Minus the nipples the Forever Panther Suit is awesome. Pretty close to the 89. I would buy an Forever Batman 1/4 in a heartbeat. I'm sure since Mattel is doing one more companies will dig doing Kilmer Batman.I definitely wouldn't buy a Kilmer. Besides hating Batman Forever, I find Kilmer's take on the character to be extremely bland and the costumes also look like crap IMO.
No need to represent such mediocrity in my collection haha.
Yeah I'd be in for both Kilmer suits. I just hope this recent Kilmer figure makes Neca realize they could make an decent amount of $ on the Kilmer Batman. Yeah the movie isn't the greatest but the suits were pretty good. If they can make Predator figures from horrible films like Avp why not do the same. It's Batman it will sell regardless of what movie it's from.I have a general dislike of all the designs in the Christopher Nolan movies. Just not getting Batman.
That being said, I am all up for the panther suit or sonar suit from Batman Forever. Wouldn't mind a decent representations of a George Clooney Batman too.
Can't argue with that. Batman will almost always sell. Though in all honesty (despite my opinion), I can't see Randy going for it. There's plenty of figures that he's said no to that would most certainly sell.Yeah I'd be in for both Kilmer suits. Never say never. We thought we'd never see accurate Tmnt movie figs and look. So I'll keep hoping for my holy grail 1/4 Batman figure. Can't argue with that. Batman will almost always sell. Yeah I definitely see Randy saying no to a Kilmer Batman. He even said he doesn't want to do a Tom Hardy Bane. I'm not sure what he has against that Bane. I would love a 1/4 Bane from NECA. Its suck if your interest don't align with Randy because if he doesn't like the character, it won't be made. But hes done some great work in getting those smaller versions of the 1/4 figures made.
I can totally understand why he doesn't want to do a Tom Hardy Bane. Complete butcher of the character. Just slightly better than the previous version in some ways.
I guess with a small company like NECA, they rather focus their limited resources on things that sells for sure as an entire ware like Alien and Predator that has less competition. And expanding to properties they like to do like DC / Marvel / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 1/4 scale. Life size scale etc. There are licenses that we think would sell. But in all honestly we don't know that what happens behind the scenes. Maybe it's hard to get Val Kilmer's license, similar to Peter Weller and Jack Nicholson. Or they want to get Batman and Robin and they have problems with Chris O'Donnell. The 1/4 scales are harder to sell with the size and shipping cost. I think 1 shipment case carries 2 1:4 figures.
