Wonder Woman came even quicker than I anticipated. Got her in early this morning. Overall I'm very surprised with how much I like this figure. After seeing the first in hand pictures my excitement was a bit dampened, but now that I have her? This is a really solid release and while subjective, one of the most fun figures I've gotten in a long time. The paint is very clean save for one section on the skirt but it's not too noticeable. The sculpting is all around really nice and the head definitely looks like Gal Gadot in person. The articulation is what really surprised me; she has a lot more range than I had anticipated and I hardly had to heat any joints up out of the box. The double jointed knees and elbows go all the way, gauntlets are rotatable, legs go farther forward than I had thought, etc. She has all the essentials when it comes to accessories too and while I was worried about the lasso, it's actually not too hard to work with. Even stuff like the box is one of the more eye catching designs NECA has done.
I think Wonder Woman as a character just lends herself very well to an action figure. She's colorful and that alone naturally draws the eye. Her accessories and general fighting style also create loads of posing options (2 handed poses w/ sword, sword and shield combo, fists and bracelets only, lasso poses, etc). I can see myself taking this one off the shelf and changing the pose more often than most of my figures; heck even today I took more photos than usual for a new figure. I don't want to jump the gun here, but this may be the most "fun" NECA figure for me since Deadpool. Not necessarily the best looking figure with the most "wow" effect, but a great ACTION figure.
Loads of pictures incoming!
