Got mine.

Ehhhh...can't say I'm totally happy with it. I probably am being very picky but I'm seeing many unintended shiny areas. I mean the paintjob is good but the production and packaging methods don't safeguard it against knocks and scuffing which is really unfortunate. There's a definite area on one of his thighs that has a problem. Secondly - and it could just be the lighting here at work and maybe the other Turtles are no different - but the seams on his head don't seem quite as well smoothed over. Most significantly though one of his legs is sitting higher in the hip than the other one giving him the dreaded NECA-patented one leg shorter than the other problem :banghead

This isn't a great record - I've only gotten one Turtle where I was completely happy with the QC - from a later batch of Donatello. Right now I'm pretty frustrated but I don't know if there's any point trying to get an exchange. A) would they do it for me in Ireland and B) would the replacement actually be any better - possibly not. It could even be worse

Do you have shiny glued like me? How can it be removed?

No one knows it? I swear you have similar to other turtles. Did you removed it? If yes, how?

No, I don't think we've got the same problem.

I'm not sure I can live with the short leg thing at all. Even if I were to disassemble and fix it somehow I'd be making the scrape on his thigh more visible. There's a physical dinge where it looks like his thigh was rammed against his shell at some point.

**** it anyway. :gah:

Tracking on mine has only got as far as being received by 13ten. :gah: Wonder why it's so far behind the rest of you UK/Ireland buyers.

I've been very lucky then. Don't that 13ten company normally have them for about 4 days too?

Ya your definitely being way to picky. Ive been following this thread since the beginning and I always notice your comments... even your lead-up posts before receiving the item, your worrying waaaaay to much even about the possibility of potential issues. Sounds like your OCD or something along those lines.
Ive seen a bunch in hand, and also my 6 so far havent had any issues...

But hey different strokes for different folks.

Then it's likely if I were to look at yours I'd find a few things wrong with them. This one short leg thing is most certainly not being picky though. It's becoming an annoyingly common issue with NECA figures - but this is the first time I've encountered it on a 1:4 scale figure and it's about as welcome as a punch in the groin.

Also, the fact I'm an international plays into why I worry about issues in advance. Returning isn't always possible, or if it is it's expensive. And I might not be reimbursed that cost.

Returning this figure for instance would cost over 60euro. Even if they let me ship it without tracking it would cost 50.

Yeah I have to agree, For anyone international buying these there is the extra stress of hoping they make the long journey without any problems on arrival, I've been lucky with my four but did panic when Mikey's head wasn't attached in the box!

The previous three got to me pretty quick after they finally reached the UK. As long as I get it this week it's fine. Any longer would indicate something was wrong.

When I look back on tracking history for the second Leo I ordered he was with them for four days so wouldn't see there being a problem. Hope you get him in time for the weekend!

Im international too. I actually drive quite a distance across the boarder and pick up at a USA postal service outlet so returning stuff is even more of a pain im imagining. But anyways if thats your situation, your expectations should be even lower then so you dont have to subject yourself to that pain. I agree the one leg a lil shorter sounds like an issue, but even then I would just find a pose to put him in so its not noticeable.

My main point was ive seen you post many many times saying "maybe im too picky..." and I was saying yes you defiantly are. Try and find a way to get over that, even if its just a small improvement im sure it will add more joy and less stress to your collecting past time. Cheers :)

crrrraaaaaap.
there is no way even to buy a Leonardo and just replace the belt and the head, as Leonardo's back will probably have a giant glue area where his swords pack is glued.
so waiting for a second, fixed batch and keeping this body for spare parts it is.

OK, I've fixed the different leg length issue.

His right leg was the short one - and it wasn't anything to do with sculpting, just how everything was fitting together.

The thigh is hollow and it slots over this -

On my figure the thigh was just riding up too high on this piece. I was able to pull the leg off and put it back on to a degree that equalised it. As a minor side-effect of the removal that thigh now swivels very easily.

Oh, I considered actually trying to make the other leg ''shorter'' instead of making the short leg longer - to reflect the fact that Mikey actually should be shorter than the other Turtles. However I wasn't able to get that other leg off - even using the hairdryer. I felt like I would have snapped the joint.
