They will be about an inch bigger than penguin trust me they will take up PLENTY of Shelf space... have Penguin so I would know.
shelf space is not what bothers me. i simply don't like giant toys. i like to take them in hand and look closely, exploring details while catching the overal silhouette - not watching them from 5 meters.
i stapled together two ****s of office paper, which gave me 41 cm of height and 30 cm of length, which looks close to turtles max size. then i draw a turtle silhouette inside that list. too big for me.

I'm not into big figures, but these being "grails" and the only movie tmnt available, they work well as a nice center piece. Even if they make smaller versions later on, these can be front and center. These might be my first 1/4 figures. The price is good, they look great (so far), and they're smaller than the normal 1/4 figures.

From some angles, the legs look a bit too large on these guys. I wonder if they're doing the same thing they did with the 1/4 Predators where the lower half is slightly scaled-up to give it more stability? Come to think of it, the Alien Warrior looked a bit 'leggy' too... I can't unsee it now. :rolleyes2 Am I the only one seeing this? Maybe it's the angle?

That's what P. has been saying all along about the Jungle Hunter Predator. Did you notice this independently or did you read P. saying it and agree with him? Or did NECA at some point state that they scaled up the lower half for stability?

I've actually noticed it independently, and I did buy the first 1/4 City Hunter NECA produced. After seeing what a piece of garbage it was, I vowed never again. Sad though, that the Turtles still tempt me... :lol

CH wasn't that bad besides the paint and netting...

about all Neca predators. and about these turtles. and, having aliens in hand - about aliens too. though i don't mind it with aliens, it fits them :)

I saw that the release of Donnie was pushed back until November. Can you imagine the labor it must take to produce & paint each figure? I'd say at least 2-3 hours for a finished turtle at the Chinese factory. And they gotta do thousands? Wheeww!!

Yeah, it only seems to be the 1/4 scale versions. The regulars always look better. (Assuming the paint isn't botched... :lol)

I'm still planning on modding mine once he comes in. Going to patch joints, add eye gloss, and any touch ups necessary. This thing will be unreal afterwards. Just need this by Christmas break.

Yeah but I'd rather NECA take thier time with this figure than rush it out the door and have all kinds of QC problems. So I'm willing to wait, but pretty sure we are close. November isn't that far off.

Neca has QC features, not problems.
if a figure isn't broken, it's a feature.

Damn these are beautiful, sucks that they are 1/4th scale, that makes them about the size of Hulk and I just can't see myself displaying all 4 of them just wouldn't look right in my space at all....why can't we get these in 1/6th scaleeeeee!!!

HOT TOYS GET IT DONE MAN! :(

You poor souls still looking for Hot Toys to acquire old licenses....

Even if they did get the 1990 Turtles movie license they'd make Leonardo...and then drop the line.
