the eyes are strange too...


the neca helmet is not symmetric the sculpt is bad in reality. When you fix the gap there is a new problem the eyes...

Philooo, I am not trying to be mean but I do have a critique; you helmet looks off. The bottom half looks like it is going out(towards the camera lens) and that the upper half is going in to the head. That makes the helmet kind of deformed which looks odd.

Yautja, I think the sculpt is far from bad. Compared to what we have so far this ____ is gold!

Predarnold, I noticed that there isn't a gap there too. I think I achieved that look on mine nicely. Opinions? What is that custom? Just removing the seam? It looks like he then placed the two halves together correctly.

I would say the outside edge of the lenses don't taper back as gradually as the actual mask. They go back wider and then just go into a sharp peak.

It's close enough, and I'm not throwing that around as if it's terrible in reality. We've (including the die-hard accurists) spent months oogling over this figure and all of a sudden, the sculpt is 'bad'? It's a little off and this has been apparent to me from the start, but it's miles ahead of anything else out there.

It appears that the top-outer corner of the lens must be curved more. Then again, there are actual screencaps that make NECA's angled look seem more accurate.

Ultimately, I'd say it depends on the angle of viewing. Plus, with all of the stunt helmets they went through as well as the true detailed ones, it's one of those things that's so difficult to judge.
