Finally got my figures from WB's Ebay store. Perfect condition, surprised as to how heavy the new BD is, and how nice it actually looks as a package. The inside is gorgeous.

Really generous offer from you, DiFabio. I remember one dude from Spain and The-Dark-Knight from the UK really wanted this figure.
I was at a local TRU last week; about a dozen blu-rays but not one figure next to them. Weird.

Me :(

Di Fabio, any way to get me one???

Damn, I didn't expect that many people to contact me! Some of you guys I've never seen on here before. :lol

Replying to the messages now.

Saw a couple pegs full of Bats at my TRU a couple weeks ago next to a peg of Blu-Rays. It wasn't the Blu-Ray shown a few posts back though. It was just the old version. Both items had some kind of stickers on them about getting a discount if you bought both. The Bat figures sold out in like 2 days. I think it looks ugly and definitely do not want one on my shelf. Keaton in a batsuit will never work for me. The separate costume on this one ends up giving him an oversized head which makes it more unappealing.

I thought the same exact thing. I thought it looked awful. Big head, pink lips, awkward body, etc. Once I opened the first one I got though, I appreciated it way more and loved it. The way they stuffed him into the bubble really makes it look less appealing than it actually is. Once you take it out of the bubble however and fiddle around and pose it (adjust the cowl, put the cape over his sides), it's 10x better. It's one of my favorite 6"/7" figures.

Kills all of these,

not zoomed in enough to show bad those are. Especially Catwoman

Indeed. They are god awful.

I firmly believe the NECA 89 batman is by far the best batman figure in the scale. The weakest part of the figure is the cape, but event that is okay. The proportions are near perfect and the details CRUSH the crap hot toys pushed out. That says a lot for a 7in figure.

That's crazy.

If NECA made more using this tool in the future, I'd buy 18" Battle Damaged Batman (especially if it looked anything like TWayne's), 7" Battle Damaged, 7" Kenner tribute Iron Winch, Tec-Shield and Wall Scaler. Whacky variants like Arctic and Deep Dive would be a maybe. I would go for that many as above though. Iron Winch would be a must have.

I always hated though, always will, still do. Hopefully he didn't buy all the exclusives to repaint instead of buying the very easy to find and everywhere 8-Bit edition.

The CRAP Hot Toys pushed out?? Are you referring to DX09, a figure that is in many collector's opinions the best Hot Toys release of all time?

Hm...maybe someone doesn't have the DX09 and just wants to believe this figure is somehow superior. I'm not knocking the NECA at all....I can't wait to get my hands on mine...but calling the Hot Toys version "crap?" Come on...

I had to sell my DX09, but I did have it once, and I have the NECA now, and both are amazing, the only real advantage NECA has for accuracy is being all sculpted, the proportions are better to Keaton compared to a suit over a posable body underneath, and I still don't know why HT textured the body suit but oh well, it's still a glorious figure and a perfect cape, which is shocking for HT Batman figures :lol

I still need a DX09, and will get one to go alongside this NECA figure. I WILL get one! :monkey2

I would say the NECA sculpt is on par with Hot Toys. If anything I think I enjoy it a bit more.

I think he's talking about the 1/12 scale Hot Toys TDKR Batman and Catwoman figures, which to be fair, are not out yet but protos have been displayed. And technically, NECA's 7" figures are a scale of their own, but they come close to looking like they fit in with other scales.

I agree with you though, in terms of Keaton figures, the Hot Toys DX09 is the best 89 version produced, bar none. It is slightly idealized to remove the little imperfections in the cowl and suit, but the NECA goes to the opposite extreme. The cowl/head on that is just too big in proportion to the body. Keaton didn't look that ridiculous.
