NECA: Alien Movie Franchise Figures

...after I got Godzilla 2014, I was supposed to only collect Alien figures, since it's my favorite film series, but one thing led to another and now I'm collecting Predator (using the "my AVP Aliens need someone to fight with, but I should also get figures from the standalone Predator series... and Dutch looks too cool" excuse) and have begun Terminator (because Sarah looks so good and needs a Terminator to go with her). Next year I plan to get RoboCop and ED-209, and let's no forget I'm ordering the Home Alone retro figures because I love that movie.
So yeah, with so many great looking figures, NECA has a permanent grip on my wallet
If we'd had stuff like this back in 2005/6 I might not have started collecting Hot Toys. Or at least it might have delayed me until the MMS117 T-800 maybe. Regardless, whatever Hot Toy I bought probably would have created a desire for all the other stuff anyway, that's simply how the collector brain works as you know yourself. Thankfully for the most part 1:6 is done for me since Hot Toys switched focus to Marvel and Star Wars. So my wallet is thankful moreso than anything else that I've pretty much reverted back to 1:10.
I forgot they were doing Home Alone figures. When you think about it they've tried so many classic movies instead of just going for the current stuff all the time. Planet of the Apes, Rocky, Rambo, ET, Gremlins etc etc.

I just read on toyark today that they are also making the 8" Mego-style Bill and Ted figures too.

Went with 314 in the end, think that fits pretty nice. What is 216 anyway? can't find anything on that No.
Anyone know how to dismantle / take the legs off a marine? (Without Breakage)
Tried this today with hot water / hairdryer but the peg still snapped inside the leg which I now have no idea of how to remove

Try the heat trick, but don't leave it in as long. If the heat soaks through, the peg becomes soft as well. Its a guessing game, but it can be done. You want to soften the leg but leave the peg cool and firm. Or...white lithium grease? Spray a little in there and work the joint. It should become slippery enough to pop it off. In theory...

No new alien news. The silence before the 1/4 xenomorph arrives. Hopefully we see a aliens 1/4 warrior soon. I know we have that 1 pic but a new one.

There are pics of the 1/4 Alien at www.necaonline.com, but I can't post them here. Looks good from the head down. I really don't like the mouth at all.
I hear ya. If only they made the lips removable and included snarled lips.
It looks like a beak now. That tiny part is costing them my purchase.

Hopefully, it will be easy to x-acto knife the lips off, whittle them down, and re-attach.
Went to the Weekend of Hell Con this past weekend and got me the Hudson vs Warrior 2 pack.
The articulation rocks hard, guys.

That Hudson sculpt is great^ looks exactly like him in his frenzy from the Operations battle
Got my 2 sets of eggs today. You can actually cut the bases out and place them over the old tiny McFarlane eggs. Even the open eggs can have their bases removed without affecting the internal detail and they can fit over the stump of the McFarlane eggs.
Not sure though, I may want another set to have more closed eggs.
Oh and another thing - serious new toy smell off these.

Exactly. As opposed to just sitting them on the shelf. Although I tried the lights and they cannot be seen through the NECA eggs, there is no translucency.

Those things smell worse than anything I have ever smelled, toywise.
Insane.
But yeah...Hudson´s sculpt is perfect.
I even managed to filter on pack with a slanted eye and get me a straight, same goes for an alien jaw.
Really happy about that set.

I always imagined that the disclaimer on NECA packages about these items "not being toys / For ages 18 and up" was due to the toxic plastic being unsuitable for children...
I'm sure 'environmentally-safe' plastic is more expensive.

Randy is saying on twitter that there will be a big reveal this Friday, but it was something that he had already shown off that nobody noticed and that it is unexpected.
After just getting the eggs I'd love if it was the Queen's Ovipositor - what with it being Aliens 30th next year. I'd even buy it if the only way they could sell it is with another Queen - in that case I'd have one Queen to battle the Loader and one for the hive.
But is the Ovipositor something that's already been shown and we somehow didn't notice?
