BTTF II old man Biff and his grandson Griff would be pretty cool to get. Can totally see NECA agreeing - although only if the line does well.

I think Griff is more likely given the fascination of the hover boards. Old Biff is pretty essential too, as well as Trump Biff too, but not sure they'd do those. Maybe I should preorder just to show support haha.

If you want to guarantee a perfect art box/card/blister, yes - assuming you're OK paying the extra few dollars. You get a specially selected sample of the figure, it's wrapped in a bag I think, then put in it's own labelled box which in turn goes into the already pretty good standard BBTS packaging with all the bubblewrap. So they do a good job for sure.

I've been using BBTS for over 10 years and only started going collector grade recently for a few things that I knew I wasn't going to open - like the Kenner tribute Alien stuff where I think the packaging is really part of the appeal.

Good to know. I pre-ordered all three, but now I'll probably pre-order an additional 3 in collectors grade as well. I really hope this line does well enough to warrant figures from part 3. Biff was a definite surprise so fingers crossed.

I can definitely see Old Biff and grandson with his gang getting made, but like you said, only if the line does well. I get the feeling this will be another POTA situation tho.

A car would be nice. That's why I'm getting the cartoon figures, because of the car.

Old Biff and Griff maybe. But the entire gang no way.

Personally I think alot of this line is going to be limted to variations of Marty; with the occasional Doc or Biff.

I'm sort of doubting we'll get any BttF3 figures except maybe Marty. Can't see them doing Mad Dog Tannen.

Could be. Hopefully this is next:

And if the already revealed figures sell well we may get these:

And

Doc_Western.jpg

And possibly this:

With maybe a Biff from BTTF 2 and 3 as well.

I bet we get doc in his radiation suit and then the "tales from space" Marty. That's it.

Personally I think Funko Pops are a pretty good indication of the depth that this line will go.

Other than what has been announced, I can see a Radiaton Suit Marty, 1955 Marty, and 1885 Marty. For Doc I can see them making Radiation Suit, 1955, and 2015. Maybe a one off Griff or Old Biff.

Sorry for anyone hoping for a Goldie Wilson, 2015 George, or future gang members.

I actually got to meet her at a convention last year. Really nice lady. Unlike most conventions where you only get about 30 seconds to say "Hi" as they sign your autograph; there weren't many people around and she could tell I was a real fan so she talked to me for like a half hour.

She had me explain to her the plotline of the video game. Even though she voiced her character she isn't a gamer so she didn't actually know the story line. Was super psyched to hear it.

She also mentioned how there was no bad blood between her and Elizabeth Shue, as they had already known each other for years being at a lot of the same auditions together. Claudia Wells was actually the number 2 choice for "Adventures in Babysitting".

Cool, that's good to hear.

I googled why she didn't come back for II and it was because her mum had developed cancer - so yeah, doesn't seem like there'd be any reason for her to resent Elizabeth Shue.

In fact she mentions Shue in her cameo at the end of this

I watched BTTF 2 last night, and Griff (and his whole gang really) would make a great figure because of the costumes. As far as the accessories, the red bat, suitcase, and hoverboard would be cool.

I forgot how big Biff/Griff was in the film. I wonder if the Marty figure will be very small in comparison to the Biff figure?

You wouldn't know from the figure specs which have them both the same height. I'm sure that won't be the case though and Biff will be taller...the right amount of taller though? Who knows.

I love BTTF II even though the entire plot of that movie is a major plot hole - I'm not the first one to think of this by any means but if anyone wants to discuss

When Marty and Jennifer leave 1985 in the Delorean that should have meant they merely skipped 30 years when arriving in 2015. There shouldn't have been any other Marty and Jennifer in 2015. Rather, when they arrived in the future they would have found a story of their own mysterious disappearance back in 1985 and the ensuing heartbreak of their loved ones wondering what the hell happened to them.

BTTF II seems to posit that when they go into the future they also somehow remain in the timeline exactly as they otherwise would have but how the hell can that be the case? It can't. And look no further than BTTF I when Doc sends Einstein 1 minute into the future - was there some duplicate of Einstein and Delorean still there for that 1 minute period until a second Delorean turned up with another Einstein inside? Because that's basically what happens from the 2015 perspective of BTTF II. The movies contradict their own time travel logic.

The only way it can make sense is if they have traveled into an alternate timeline's version of 2015 - a timeline in which Marty and Jennifer did not time travel and thus have no awareness of their younger selves being there. Then there's 2 further problems with that -

1) it would defeat the entire purpose of the journey - which was for our Marty and Jennifer to stop their children's lives going to ***t - what would it matter if it wasn't their own timeline? Why should they care particularly?
2) In any case, according to the Doc you can only travel into the future of the timeline you are in. This was why, after they discover that they have arrived back in some hideously altered 1985 due to Biff's meddling, they cannot merely travel back to 2015 to stop Biff getting the Almanac and stealing the Delorean - that future had been erased and replaced with a new future of the timeline in which Biff killed George McFly, married Lorraine and Doc was committed to a mental assylum. Thus they could only solve their problem in the past when old Biff met young Biff to give him the Almanac.

So at the beginning of BTTF II what should travelling into the future of their own timeline mean? Go back to the first paragraph.

All this said, the ending of the original BTTF sets up this storyline so it's not exactly BTTF II's fault for proceeding with it.

edit - just a final thought - Doc initially travels to 2015 alone. This is when he first discovers all the stuff that's gone wrong in Marty's life and that's OK I guess. The problem is with the notion that you can pull yourself out of a timeline, jump into the future and meet your own future self there. Yeah, everyone else will be there but YOU won't be because only you can become the future you. So Doc should have known that the very act of taking Marty out of 1985 means Marty can't be there in 2015. Therefore the way to change Marty's future (since he didn't seem to have reservations about doing that anymore) was simply to tell Marty about everything that happens and let Marty change it over the natural course of time.

Great, now you just ruined that movie for me.

:pfft:

If I had thought deeply enough about it at the time.....or rather if I had been old enough to think about it, maybe it would have ruined the film for me. But childhood enjoyment has prevailed and I can still have fun watching it. And again, the first film is to blame. It sets up the exact story BTTF II ends up telling.

Interesting, I never thought about that. Isn't that the same problem as when Marty travels from 1955 to 1985, and he sees Doc getting shot and himself driving the car at the same time back to 1955? That's two Marty's in the same timeline. Then, he discovers that Doc was wearing a bulletproof vest and sees the letter from 1955.

I always just assumed that the timeline reflected what was going to occur. Yes, Marty and Jennifer traveled from 1985 to 2015; but there is no reason to assume that they would not return so the timeline remained intact. Wheras with Einstein there was never any intent to have him make up that lost minute. If for some weird reason Marty and Jennifer became stuck in 2015 I would imagine that their future selves would start to disappear.

What I always wondered is shouldn't 2015 Jennifer and Marty remember that this was the day that their teenage counterparts were there? Its kind of a memorable event.

I also wondered why George McFly was cool with the guy that once raped his wife in high school becoming a close family friend/personal slave that regularly hangs out at their house.
Or why he looked the other way about his wife giving birth to a baby that looked suspiciously like her old boyfriend.
